A lock of John Lennon's hair sold in a London auction on Wednesday for $48,000!

The legend's follicles were sold to an unnamed telephone bidder.

The lock was cut by the band's former hairdresser.

The hair was originally estimated to sell for between 4-6k, but the famed Beatle's fans value him much more than that.

How long until Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern start selling Anna Nicole Smith belongings???

They got legal bills to pay!

We'd fork over $40 for some of Anna's old extensions. We'd even spend $200 for one of her empty Methodone bottles!
