Fidel Castro. Jim is right, as far as I know all the comic book fans(you know comics, what Batman is based off?) say Ledger nails the Joker and that Nicholson's joker was ummm a joke. This is like the Joker in the comics, the one who shoots children and laughs. So you talking trash has no context, because you're wrong. And most film fans don't like Nicholson's portrayal and want something closer to the comics. Which Ledger has nailed.

Carl - don't troll and joke around. people will think you're serious. Batman Fans hate Nicholson's performance and they love Ledger's performance since it's more killing joker than Nicholson's crazy uncle performance. Read a comic book and look at comic book message boards to see the truth.
this movie is going to be one of the greatest films of 2008. a little side note. would people stop comparing jack nicholson's joker to ledgers. clearly if you do, you have not read any of the comics nor graphic novels. ledger's joker is going to be phenomenal. he's capturing what the joker really is. a psychotic killer. lovely.

Wow, that looks WAY FUCKING BOMB! And with Maggie Gyllenhal, one of my favorite actresses, replacing that fucking Katie Holmes, there is nothing stopping this movie from being the BEST of 2008! I'm so stoked!!!

batman begins came in #75 in all time top grossing 250 movies in the us with 205,343,774 75. that doesnt really seem like "bombing" to me.

Christian Bale looks amazing as always… such a f'in hot Bruce Wayne! I'm not sure how I feel about Maggie, although I didn't care much for Katie Holmes either. Maggie is just kinda blah. Maybe I'm just jealous!

My boyfriend almost gizzed himself I think. (He's a comic book dork. Owns every issue of Batman since he was born.) I know we will be seeing it at midnight when it comes out.

I am a huge Batman fan & have seen all the movies. I loved Jack Nicholson as the Joker but I think Heath Ledger will bring a new take on the character. Give the guy a chance. Jack's was more comic book & Heath's looks really insane.

i agree that the tim burton versions are more comic book, but these newer versions are trying to portray these characters in real life. Heath's character is insane, which i think he perfectly portrays. Great acting!

Outstanding my only hope is that with the conclusion of this movie I pray that Joker doesn't wind up dead as he is Batman's ultimate nemesis, and I can't wait to see how Nolan flashes the back story of the Joker throughout the movie…
