One lucky Writers Guild member (and Perezcious reader) got to meet Tori before the show and they talked about the strike that has affected all of Hollywood.
He tell us: "She was very thoughtful, asked us how it was going, and told us to 'be the power.'"
To everyone's surprise, a few hours later, Miz Amos took the stage as the angriest of her characters and spoke a furious battle cry.
She shouted, "Writers! Writers! Where are you in this fucking town? When you gonna stand up and stop sucking the cock of the infested corporate clone? Seize the power!"

In the late 80s and early 90s when the sound went back to rock n'roll from glam band and pop hell, all of the independent music bands and labels were being devoured by Sony, Geffen, etc. Back in the day, people who were aware of this struggled to stay afloat and out of corporate grasps and wore tee shirts that said "Don't Suck Corporate Cock" and in Japanese with little letters in parathesis underneath "Fuck Sony. Nothing she said was original, and, in fact, it was not only plagiaristic, but extremely hypocritial.

As a fan of Tori for many years, seeing her in concert back when nobody even heard of Little Earthquakes (the concert held 100 people and wasn't sold out) she's really gone loopy. Although, I guess when one sings about cherry trees cutting her knees in fallen snow with white horses baking pies and staring at the eyes of her mother jesus…not very shocking-
