I think it would be easy to quickly jump and condemn her actions, however, it took more courage to decide to have the child than to take the easy way out. While, it is sad and she shouldn't be a role model because of her behavior, she should be admired for taking the tough road. I imagine there will be a day when her child grows up and thanks her for not aborting him/her. I think we should rally around her and support her for that reason alone and allow her pregnancy to bring caution to all the other teens who are sexually active.

The highest penalty this boy could face is 6 months in prison, but he won't serve a day. Three years is not that great of a difference in most relationships and I think that focusing on trying to get the father put in prison is the wrong idea. If anything, he needs to be with this girl during this time.
