Considering everything Putin has done this year (good or bad) Time magazine is right to give this title to him. He stepped down as President to become Prime Minister and still retain all the power he had as Prez without staging a military coup or starting a civil war. Single handedly, not like Gore and the UN COMMITTEE which has been sadly overlooked because of fat face's media exposure. Keep in mind that Saddam Hussein was Person of the Year as well. The recent elections, his further holding on to power by becoming Prime Minister, the corruption and suspicious deaths of people who speak against him, his standing up to the US, the changing Russian economy; etc?
