John Graziano, the 22 year old armed forces vet that has been left with severe brain damage since being involved in the Nick Hogan car crash in August, is finally showing signs of improvement.

He still can't speak or breath without a machine, but he is showing some responsiveness.

      I can't believe that Papa Hogan was in the car with Nick when he was going 100+ mph in the Everglades & was pulled over twice. WHAT BAD PARENTING!!!       This story is misleading. It implies that because this poor man opened his eyes, he is somehow going to recover. Unless I am mistaken, he has major brain damage. Opening your eyes or closing your eyes makes little difference.

      He's still Stage 3, and until part of his brain regenerates and reattaches itself, John's long-term prognosis is grim.

      Prayer has no power in changing events, and that's a fact. Something very different, faith, hope, has an effect in people since it can help them to move on or endure hard moments. But mark my words: conscious people, not a guy in a coma. He has no hope, no faith, no nothing since he has no conscious mind working. And prayers are not going to change that.

      God obviously ignored the first 10,000 prayers and then choose to intervene at 10,001.

      God is supposedly all-powerful AND good, so why does he either allow people to suffer and do nothing about it, or doesn't want them to suffer but is powerless to stop it.

      Come to think of it, if God is so amazing, why didn't he wait until 2007 to send his only son to Earth so Jesus could start a blog and post his miracles on YouTube. That way he could show 6 billion people "the way" instead of just a few thousand.       I hate misleading stories like this. My brother was in a similar accident/had similar injuries, and I can tell you right now that if he's just starting to open his eyes after 4 months, that's not a good sign. Typically, the longest a true coma lasts is about 4 weeks; after that, the person opens his eyes and is often in a vegetative state after that. Sometimes permanently. Opening eyes does not mean he's "responsive" whatsoever. I lived that hell with my brother for too long to think differently. I'm not saying there's no chance of recovering, but this "doing better" bullshit pisses me off. Odds are not in his favor, I can tell you that.
