Jamie Spears is rightfully very upset about his sixteen year old daughter's pregnancy and the circumstances surrounding the public disclosure of the news.
Poppa Spears is said to be "furious" with Jamie Lynn and ex-wife Lynne for selling the story to OK! magazine.
"He put his foot down and refused to take any money and 'profit off of his children,'" a source tells Us Weekly. "Lynne didn't care."
It is not known how much OK! paid Jamie Lynn and Lynne for their exclusive interviews and pictures.
However, poppa Jamie is "devastated" by the news. He's "extremely depressed" and "feels Jamie Lynn ruined her life."

I'm saddened to know that this was not some sick joke. Why would anyone even put a naked, pregnant, 16 year old CHILD on the cover of a magazine? It is appalling how much our standards supposedly lowers for those who are rich & famous. Her mom and dad should both be whipped. Who the hell lets their child stay with her boyfriend? I don't just blame the parents though, Jamie is old enough to make responsible decisions and she should have used birth control. This sends out a very negative image for young girls. Sorry but I disagree Perez. This man has every right to want better for his daughter than to become a mother at 16 years old. You have a legal and emotional family structure to support them. This does not mean a serial marriage structure. A child deserves an inheiritance of a family. Family sustains you in times of crisis. Sex before marriage is arguably a behavior that is not defensible on a societal or material level. While romantic, it is not supported by taxes. I am not in support of taxes that support children of unmarried spouses.
