To # 222, WTF? lol, wow… you are one of those people that buys into that bullshit that every baby born to a smoker will come out with SOME sort of problem huh? There is nothing wrong with a baby born at 5 and 1/2 lbs to 6 lbs instead of the 7 or 8 lbs. It's actually a lot easier on the mother durning the birth. And not only that, it's called feeding your baby when it's born, your baby will gain that weight back with a week or two after birth. Trust me, I have seen it happen to a friend of mine recently. My baby is perfectly healthy every test I've taken, and even my doctor has said so. Oh and P.S. My doctor even told me it would have NOT been safe for me and my baby for me to quit smoking altogether simply because of how much I use to smoke before I got pregnant. My baby is healthy. So fuck off.

And for the person that has called a truce, I accept, just don't make judgements about a situation when you don't know the whole story behind it. But thank you for stepping up. And yes this topic is about Lily which is why it's annoying the hell out of me people keep targeting me. And no one said I was proud of smoking still while pregnant. I am proud however that I am 20 and pregnant and not 14, 15, or 16 like these other girls I see around here.

i hope she realizes what a stupid of a person she is by smoking . the baby cant speak out on his or her health i just wish she would stop smoking at least while shes pregnant 4 the sake of the baby. this is 2 sad looking @ her puffing away with that grin !! stupid bitch i would have slapped her > having a baby is a gift fro God. how freaken sad . makes u want @ cry.

Actually, I just finished a class in infant and child development, and smoking during pregnancy is linked to an increased rate of hyperactivity, as well as a higher chance of your child getting Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). To the people here who said it was ok-it is not, so stop being ignorant and selfish.

You moron. Smoking affects birth weight. As long as she quits by 7 months, the baby will be ok. It's not easy quitting. Nicotine is more addictive than heroin. Give the girl a chance to stop before you crucify her.
