We think they would have preferred Pamela Anderson in a bikini stripping to one of his songs, but this isn't that bad.
For the second year in a row, Kid Rock spent the holidays with the soldiers overseas.
On a massive U.S.O. tour, the rocker did 13 shows in 7 diffrent countries in 5 days.
Kinda awesome.
Rock on and our thoughts and warm wishes to everyone away from their loved ones this Christmas.

Kid Rock is awesome, whether you love or hate his music, after the first year - celebrities quit coming around because there was nothing to gain. With a hubby over there, who hasn't gotten to see anything, it's sad that these stars came when there were cameras.
This isn't Kid's second trip either, he's come over WITHOUT the cameras.
At least there's someone out there willing to bring holiday spirit to our boys, who can't be home.

You need to check your facts. My husband is a college-educated man who is in Iraq. He voluntarily joined the Army because he believes in this country, not the leaders. No one agrees with the war in Iraq, but the least your sorry ass can do is support the troops. They put their lives on the line so your whiny, pussy-ass doesn't have to. It is so sad that Perez putting up a blg about Kid Rock doing a wonderful thing for our troops and it gets stupid comments from peple who have no idea what it is like to have a loved one over there. My husband is currently serving in Iraq and is probably one of the soldiers in that crowd in those pictures. When celebs show up to preform or talk to them, It makes thier day, it helps them get from one day to another and know that others still care about them, outside thier families. I thank Kid Rock and all the others that go to Iraq and preform for our men and women, as it puts a smile on thier face even if it is for just a couple of hours. Everyone needs to reliaze that you may not agree with this war, but you need to believe in our trops as they joined to because they believe in what the Military stands for, above and beyond what the President tells them. They are over there fighting to keep the innocent there safe and all of us back here safe also. the news media does not alway report the wonderful things we are doing there, and we are helping to improve life so don't judge what our troops are doing until you have been in thier shoes. Thanks again to Kid Rock and the rest of the USO you help to make things bearable for my husband and the other troops over there.

My husband saw Kid Rock last year in Kuwait. It wasn't on his stop to go there, but Kid Rock went anyway. It was him and just his guitar for about a half hour. My husband was so excited that he decided to go. He's a big fan.

I'm not actually American. Although I have live there before it's not where I wanted to continue living. This aside, I have read many articles before where it would seem like the Iraqi people are everything but impressed with what the Americans are doing. Furthermore: I've heard quite a number of times of American soldiers themselves- who have been in Iraq- cursing the war. I have read their blogs. Actually, some of them have myspace accounts and you can read what they have to say there. Also, what you hear in the main stream media has been filtered. You hardly hear about soldiers raping Iraqi girls there. CBS and other world media do cover these and you can read about this there. You certainly won't hear the truth on Fox news.
As a Navy wife who spent Christmas without her husband, I just want to say thank you to all of you who appreciate what our loved ones are doing to protect our freedoms. And to those who don't agree, I'm not going to stoop down to your level and bash you like you are bashing my husband and the rest of our brave military men and women, but let me just remind you that it is the men and women of our military who have fought to give you the right to say all the awful things you are saying about them, so maybe you should think about that in the future before you make all your snide and ignorant comments.

Of coruse it is not acceptable if even one soldier rapes an Iraqi woman, but these are again isolated instances. America has the most professional and disciplined army in the world. They show our enemies more courtesy than you show other Americans. Life is not great now, but it was certainly worse under Sadam's rule. His sons raped women wontonly EVERY day. Valium was never available in Iraq becuase Sadam traded oil for cash through Bill Clinton pardonee Mark Rich in Switzerland instead of giving his people food and medicine. I am not poor, my parents are not hippies and I am a university student. So I guess that you were right about me having no job. At university they teach you how to think for yourself and not just to follow what the mainstream media tells you or what your president tries to tell you. And if you actually listen to what people have to say about the war around the world you will find that you are in the minority in supporting the war. Think about it: how many countries support the US in their decision to go to war? England, Australia and then about 18 other small countries which have very little influence in this world like Poland. There about 130 countries in this world. So the minority is right? And again, I can guarantee that I'm not a hippie. Please never assume that you can judge someone just based on one opinion. I wear Gucci sunglasses. Yes, you might be very shocked to know that there are some young wealthy blondes who actually are educated and care about what happens in this world. And you might actually be very very shocked to learn that people can have a great life outside of the US. So many Americans think that everywhere that is not America is a third world country when in fact I'm better off than many Americans. And I have no problem with the wealthy sharing money with the poor. I live a good life so I have no problem with sharing tax money with the less fortunate because I'm not selfish. In America, 1% of the richest owns 35% of the total wealth. Now I'm wealthy but even I don't think that's right. So the rich have money to burn while to poor suffer to keep the rich wealthy. You give too much credence to professors who dropped acid in the 60's. There is no problem with independent thought, but you are not thinking independantly. You are taking the criticizms of America that are waged by the far left and regurgitating them. China, Russia, and France opposed the war becuase they had strong business ties to Iraq. Many other countries opposed the war becuase they do not like America. They don't like that America is free and wealthy. Giving credence to the opinions of other countries discredits your emphasis on "independant thought". You have to realize, most people who hate America hate us becuase they hate capitalism. They would rather live in a failing economy and do nothing that to work hard and succeed. Based on your comments, you are hard-working but do not beleive that others should be as well. You believe that the government should be responsible for people's lack of work ethic or inability to sieze opportunities. In the country you live, there may be few opportunities, but America is replete with opportunities for those who work hard.
