We've been trying to steer clear of Adrianne Curry, but she's dogging Tyra again and calling Top Model a fraud. So it's kinda juicy.
The first season winner of Top Model just wrote the following on her blog:

That's what everyone has been asking me lately because of the last season. I didn't watch it, but I came across the finale and watched it the other week. I guess the winner of the show not only has modeled before (Wendy's commercials, Tyra Banks Show runway model) but that she also had a personal relationship with Tyra from being in her T-zone camp. According to my contract with Top Model, all of these things would keep you from even coming on the show, let alone win it.
I agree with the majority in saying that this is not fair. When I did watch the show, I didn't think that they chose the girl who could actually model…but then I remembered that they are 9 seasons into this show and have yet to be successful in making a real "Top Model". I would have picked the other girl based only on that I think she would work more. It's Tyra's show, and she can obviously do whatever she wants.
I love to compete. If I had been one of the other contestants, I would be crying foul everywhere I went. I am really surprised at how unfair that season seems. So I guess now real models are going to be allowed on the show? That should make things interesting.
I think that if all these rumors of the winner being tied in the industry and having a prior relationship with Tyra is true, that the title should be given to the runner up. I know Tyra is an honest person. I have been assured by many that Tyra isn't unfair. Seeing how she isn't, I know she will do the right thing in this situation. Heck, maybe after she is done righting this wrong, she could hint at the agency she placed me in to PAY me for the work I did and won through her show? Been trying to get that check since 2003. ; )"

She didnt say she was retiring from modeling. She said she considers just disappearing from public life. In fact, she has stated on more than one occasion that she would rather do TV than modeling anyway, because the money is in TV.

A few people have hinted (and some have just blatently said) that Tyra has a preference for black girls as winners on her show. For anyone who has watched Top Model from the begining, you should know that the winner of each cycle is decided by the race of who won the last time. If a white girl wins season 11, a black girl or an ethnic girl will win season 12. The people who win are not picked for their talent. They are picked to be the least offensive choice.
Remember Caridee and Melrose? Melrose was a fucking BITCH, but she made Caridee look like a toilet full of fresh shit. I realized right then and there that the show is totally fake. Salisha is a "pretty" girl. Pretty generic. I was shocked to learn that she had worked before, because on the show, everything she did was terrible. If Tyra was just looking for a black girl to win, this was not her season to do so. Victoria or Jenah should have won. Both were booted based on their personalitys, not on their talent. Eva is the only black girl on the series that has absolutly deserved it. In fact, there are only three contestants who won who deserved it. Eva, Naima (half black) and Yoanna. Last seasons winner Jaselene looks like crossdresser on his first night out. Adrianne apperes to be nearing her 40's, Nicole made Nik look like a goddess in comparison, and Dani (whos personality was very likeable) should NEVER have won over Joanie. No matter what the color, the right girl rarely wins. Now with these new alligations, I may have to give up on the show completley. *sighs* Farewell old friend. It's a pity that Miss Piggy had to ruin you.
Top Model is only a stepping stone to help get models out there….they have to get off their skinny butts and do the rest of the footwork.

Poor Adrianne, still crying about it 4 years later (like it didn't help [start] her career in ANY WAY by being on that show). I'm kind of shocked at the comments where people think Adrianne shouldn't get paid because she was in Playboy. If Tyra had a contract with Adrianne, saying that she was going to pay her, LEGALLY SHE HAS TO PAY HER. Say what you want about Adrianne's morals, but Tyra fucked up here.
Now what I want to know is why Adrianne is still whining about it and not taking Tyra's ass to court for back salary payments.
