Think about it - You spend years trying to make it and when you finally break through your singer starts banging the phoniest, most utterly talentless fraud in the history of modern music, thus destroying any semblance of credibility your band might have had. Other bands and your own fans are laughing at you, photographers are having a field day with this odd pairing, and by the time it's all over your band will never be taken seriously as artists again (not the Fall Out Boy were innovators to begin with - quite the opposite - but still).
