According to sales figures, the explosive issue announcing Jamie Lynn's pregnancy sold 2 million copies.
That's almost triple OK!'s regular weekly circulation!
And, making momma Lynne also proud, the mag's second best selling issue ever was Britney's meltdown at an OK! photo shoot this past summer, which sold 1.2 million copies.

What a truly sad day when anyone would think it's a good idea to put this child and her troubles on the front of a magazine. Who knows what teenage girls will take away as a message from this. If she wasn't sitting on a piss pot full of money she would be part of an "epidemic" of teenage pregnancy. I guess money really does change the rules….

I just read another interview with her. She's talking about maybe going to college (IF she graduates high school) and what kind of movies she wants to make in the future and whether she wants to go into the music biz. Leave Jamie alone, she has yet to prove she is trash, unlike her big sis. ALL girls her age are sexually active, but usually the ones who get pregnant have abortions. This is just so irritating now! I can't deny that I have to know what's going on with the Spears' now at all times, but I really want these girls to straighten their lives out. Which obviously means staying as far away from the parents as they can, which is the saddest part of all.
Momma wants to bank as much as she can on these girls before they get too old for anyone to care, and apparently she'll do it by any means she can. She's tapped out Britney as far as she can, so now a switch to the younger one is only natural.
But to sell the pregnancy story!? My God does this woman have any shame? Does she love her offspring even just a tiny little bit? Did she really give birth to these girls or did she buy them on a black market somewhere?
And then to claim they got no money from OK? Yeah, right, and neither did Howard K. Stern.
This is getting really scary now. Britney cannot seem to live without the flashbulbs in her face, which makes sense because it's the only semblance of "affection" she has in her life. Think about it. She probably assumes that anyone who is nice to her in any way whatsoever wants something from her, and I bet in most cases she's right. So what is she left with? Lots of time and money, which can drive even a person with real support and structure insane after a while, and a sense that she has to, at all costs, keep herself famous. And now, after everything that has happened, she doesn't seem to care anymore.
And lets talk about the kids for a second. I think she loves them, and wants to be a good mother. But I could also see how she might regret having them in some way, as horrible as everyone would say that is. After all, any mother who has been through a divorce with children has had the thought- those boys are little mini Federlines- little flesh and blood representations of what even Britney herself must realize now was her greatest mistake of all. It is sad, but not something that should be so easily judged.
And the media, even if she does have some kind of relationship with them, amplifies things. I feel so bad for her. I literally want to go out and find her and talk to her, even if it's just for 5 minutes, to tell her that she can be ok. If I were her, I'd call up Madonna and throw myself at her mercy. I bet she could help her. So there you go, if anyone is reading this who knows Madge tell her to help Britney before she winds up like Anna Nicole. The clock is ticking.
