It should be blatantly obvious by now to every one - even the most diehard Unfitney fans - that Britney Spears has zero respect for the law and little love for her kids.
The trainwreck's lawyer's slyly arranged for her to have her court-ordered deposition on Wednesday, when the aftermath of the New Year's holiday would hopefully distract attention away from her legal requirements.
In typical Britney mode, Spears decided not to show to the deposition.
This is the FIFTH time that Spears has missed her court-appointed deposition!
Last time, she blamed anxiety.

This latest incident was the straw that broke the camel's back for Britney and her lawyers, who filed a motion to quit her legal team after her latest no show.

Britney Spears is out of control because of booze, pills, drugs etc. It´s not that she does not love her kids or respect the law. A person in her state has no control over anything, she has a DISEASE, as defined by the World Health Organization, which brings about this sort of behaviour in almost anybody in her state.

A proper mental health assessment should be carried out sooner rather than later. A delusional disorder is a possibility and are quite difficult to treat. At first I thought post natal depression but am now thinking some kind of delusional disorder. Isn't there some kind of Mental Health Act in The United States that can make you an involuntary patient if you are at risk to your self, a risk to others and a risk to your reputation? I'm a mental health nurse and know that people can be kept as an involuntary patient until treating team and a magistrate (judge) consider them well enough to leave hospital.
I just feel sad for her and her children. She does seem to be a really sweet person who just has some issues. I am sure she does love her kids but has gotten postnatal depression or perhaps she is bipolar - but she was normal and nice until the birth of her second child. I wish someone could make her get some help - dont think she needs rehab but help with her mental issues somewhere nice and relaxing for at least 6 weeks or so would help but only if she is ready. Hope she gets help soon.

I cannot believe that I would ever think Kevin Federline should have full, permanent custody of ANYONE'S kids, but Britney is very seriously mentally ill and until and unless she gets help, she shouldn't be around her kids at all, court supervision or not.

She seriously has issues. I think she has always been a sweet person, and do think she loves her kids but also think she has some kind of mental issues brought on by post natal depression as she was fine until just after the birth of her second son. I hope that a judge or someone is able to get her to go to a live in facility for 2 months or so to work on getting better but still have some visitation with her children as yes her kids WILL be better off with her in their lives.
Under the Mental Health Act in Australia the police just come and pick you up and drop you off at a psychiatric hospital. That's why I can't understand how this has gotten so out of hand. If someone rings my workplace and says their neighbour/friend/family member is at risk to themselves or someone else they are advised to call the police who then must go and pick that person up and bring them to a mental health facility for an assessment. It is not up to the individual as to whether they will bother to turn up for an assessment or not as they don't think they have a problem when it is blatently obvious that they do.

I am not even concerned about her "comeback"…her health and well being and the interest of her children are so much more important…I pray for their sake, she can get the help she needs and get back on the right track.

adbluth: In the US the only way a person can be involuntarily committed for mental health evaluation is if they violently harm themselves or another person, or threaten to. Unfortunately that doesn't include self-neglect like not eating or not being able to take care of your finances, etc. It's terrible. In the US we're so concerned about individual rights family members of mentally ill people have virtually no power to step in and help. It's up to the mentally ill person to get help, and of course they are the last to know they need it, especially if they've got paranoia.
