Just weeks after collapsing during a concert in Sweden, Liza Minnelli is set to resume touring again.

The legendary singer, plagued by the demon of addiction, will start rehearsals again this week. Her first show back is January 12th in Providence, R.I.

"Not to worry," said Liza's lawyer. All will be well. We hope.

Just go in with little expectations. Or expect her to pass out again.

      I apologize for not making myself clear. Her mother, Judy Garland, was so talented and yet so screwed up - how could her daughter be any different? She never had a chance…..get it? Liza could not have possibly turned out differently, given her background. It's a miracle she accomplished what she did, GIVEN HER BACKGROUND. That's what I mean by "she never had a chance". It's almost impossible to rise above (and survive) that kind of a background - notoriety, divorce, drugs, sex, molestation, etc. especially in THAT GENERATION, let alone today. Younger readers don't understand that back in the 40's, 50's and 60's….., life was so very different. You just didn't talk about those things…….they weren't addressed in schools, newspapers, magazines, etc. and they sure as hell didn't have "crisis counselors" brought in for the "current crisis"………Sad, but true.
