Spears is currently under psychiatric evaluation and on suicide watch.

Part of me feels sorry for Brit growing up in the spotlight and everything. But then I think to myself how many chances this girl has been given… Can you imagine getting fired from your job and then having someone from a big company offer you an interview when you've basically done nothing but sit around? That's basically what MTV did for her when they let her perform at this years awards. Sure she did have a record to promote but she had done no press to bring the buzz up for it. And when she finally did get to perform for the show we all know how that went. Britney needs to move somewhere far away from the press and enjoy her millions of dollars with her children.

Anyone else that pulled that shit last night would have the door knocked down and their ass yanked out and into jail. This crap is way bullshit. They tied up about 15 cops and two paramedic teams for almost 4 hours. Wonder how many really sick or injured had to wait for help.

THANK GOD! maybe now she can really get the help she needs…i blame the courts for not taking more serious actions…she should NOT have had those kids…not after her constant erratic behavior and her routinely defying court orders…she is mentally unstable and her children should not have been in that position…they are lucky that they were not seriously injured but who knows about the mental and emotional reprecussions…
It took jail time and losing custody of Frances Bean to straighten Courtney Love out, (somewhat) maybe hospitalization and losing visitation with the boys will finally convince Britney something's wrong with her.

considering that she has zero privacy, and is constantly hounded by photographers; i'm not surprised that this happened. it's nobody's business what she's going through. i really hope that she gets better b/c it would be sad if she did commit suicide. she's a person with feelings and issues just like us.

I think it's awesome she's going to be staying that long. Maybe this will help her in the long run, the hosptial stay that is. In my opinion a lot of this is Kevin's fault, He has two other kids with Shar but yet he doesn't want them. Why is that? If she weren't Britney he wouldn't want Sean P or Jayden either. He's in it for the money like he has been the whole time. Nobody liked Kevin when they were together and when they split everyone likes him instead? Seriously?! He's not a better parent at all. Shar says he is to her kids just so his money flow will continue while he has Brits kids so she can get some money from him. It's a sad situation. All of it is. I feel sorry for Britney and the kids. All of Brit's problems started with Kevin, and unfortunately that's where they'll finally end.

My heart is breaking for all involved and I really hope this comes to a peaceful resolution. She and her family are in my prayers. I've always suspected her problems were always mental and never substance abuse and I think now every one else is relaizing the same. I can't stand Britney, and do I believe that most of her actions this year have been totally self-centred and hedonistic, but I think, given the timing of when her "problems" started and, given that she is in so much trouble now, she'll probably play the postpartum card. Everyone will then feel sorry for her and understand that it was not her fault - hey even Brook Shields may show up to support her and Tom and Katie can show her the non-drug way to recover.

Get well, Britney. The 14 day stay will be used as an extended observation period and for further assessments/evaluations. I hope her parents are setting up a united front to support her and K-Fed is creating a family friendly atmosphere for the boys. We really all just need to leave her alone.
