Inside Britney's Breakdown
New details are emerging about the scary night that Britney Spears took one of her children hostage!
According to new reports, it was the court-appointed monitor that called police when Unfitney began behaving erratically on Thursday.
"She had already put Preston in the car when Britney locked herself in a room with Jayden," a source tells People. "The cops came and got through the door and tied her down to a gurney."
LAPD called the incident an "ongoing investigation."
Sean Preston was taken to the hospital by Federline's assistant, and Jayden James was in the ambulance with the monitor, a source says, adding that the boys "won't be back with [Spears] for a long time."
By all accounts, Britney suffered a severe mental breakdown last night.
“They had to strap her down like a mental patient and she was going between laughing and hysterics,” a source tells Us Weekly, calling it “a total psychotic breakdown. She just went crazy."
Another Spears pal says: "I guess she has good days and bad days - it's mental instability. All she has is to think of something sad and she goes crazy.”
Britney's dad, Jamie, remains at the hospital.
It will be interesting to see if Lynne or Jamie Lynn fly out to LA to be with Britney.

God Im shocked at all the comments about how its Britneys fault and how everyone is saying oh she needs some help! - where are her parents!!! Why arent her parents dragging her home and saying we will get you the help you need instead of turning her life into a 3 ring circus!!! Also the media need to respect that Britney is really sick and leave her alone. Im sure if there was a poll done there would be a small percentage of the public who would want to see all the gory details of her breakdown and a large percentage of people who would want her to disapear for a bit and get help.
Maybe she does have a mental illness! If she does she obviously needs some medication and counselling, a friend of mine had a period where he went off the rails, breaking windows and waking his parents up to preach in their bedroom at 1 in the morning.
They made the hard decision to take him to hospital because he could of hurt himself or someone else. There he got looked after and had councilling and now he is on medication as he was diagnosed with having Bipolar but he is back to his old self. Instead of sweeping the problem under the carpet his folks decided to do something about it.
I feel very sad for Britney she is obviously very alone, has an entourage of yes people, shes had her kids taken away because she is an "unfit" parent

Britney is a product of her environment. But that's what comes with the territory when you're a super star. It's how you choose to handle it that separates you from being crazy. She obviously chose the looney route. Do you ever see Madonna doing stupid sh!t like this? Stop feeling sorry for her, she put herself in this situation and has no one else to blame but herself. The laws apply to everyone, including superstars, so if you choose to not show up for court dates, neglect your kids and attack cars, don't be surprised if it comes back to bite you in the ass. She's got enough money to buy her self some sanity so go cry a river somewhere else. Those poor kids never asked to be born, so the number one priority should be those kids. As for her parents, they are 100% to blame.

Was Kevin Federline not the beginning of the end for this poor girl? The media now portrays him as some kind of saint despite the fact that he abandoned his girlfriend, child, and unborn child to pretty much destroy Britney's life and the public just sucks it up. Did she exhibit any type of instable behavior prior to his involvement in her life?
She may be a celebrity, but she is also a human being and she obviously needs some support. I look at these videos and can't imagine not being able to walk anywhere in public without these photogs following around. How could you not be unstable? She was young when she started in the business. Do you know her background? How do you know she wasn't forced into this lifestyle and felt she had to continue? It's easy to hate on her because we all want what she *had*, but this poor child needs some real unconditional love.

Here is my hypothesis on Britney's demise…..
All of the Extacy the girl did (she was obviously on an E binge for a while), triggered mental illness. Drugs are BAD kids. If you are predisposed to having a mental illness, drugs brings those illnesses to the forefront.

If she gets the right meds it should help, but it may take quite awhile for her to even out.
I would bet lots of money that she is bipolar, this is what a severe manic episode can look like, throw in rapid cycling and mixed episodes and woo your a mess. Bipolar tends to hit boys at puberty and females somewhere between 18-25ish, she the typical age for this to happen. She has certainly has enough triggers, stress and no sleep and excitement , caffeine and some drugs are big triggers. Ephedra in things like supplements and diet things can also trigger an episode. Last year was her initial episode and I would say she went from hypomanic to bipolar depression all year. Unfortunately after an episode this bad it can take quite awhile to normalize, even with medication. About 3 years ago I had a manic episode (my behaviors wern't as bad as hers luckily) and it took me about 4 months before I was back to normal. She'll need a good shrink she sees alot to adjust her meds till they are good, and it's hard to find a shrink that really knows the bipolar/anxiety disorders and how to properly medicate for it. It's a very delicate balance. I'm on 3 meds sometimes 4, but some people are on 10 or more. Thank God I respond well with virtually no side affects.
And thats another huge issue with these meds. She also should see a good therapist who again knows the bipolar and related anxiety disorders (you rarely just have bipolar) and work on coping skills and to recognize when she's getting into the danger zone. You can cope with Bipolar, I do quite well but you do need to constantly monitor yourself. This time of year going into spring(for So.Californians) anyway tends to elevate bipolars into mania, starting the spring semester in college (heh not brit's problem) where you have to up your thinking levels and output tends to nail college students about 3/4 into the semester. This doesn't happen to everyone of course but people that tend to go manic find spring to be the season it happens (documented) It's so sad that it took this to get her hospitalized, and sad to watch happen knowing that she was going to crash. The other thing that sucks is that this is genetically inherited so the boys have a good chance of getting it or one of the sister disorders (OCD, assorted anxiety types) OCD alot of times goes with bipolar, and for alot of people it doesn't manifest like it does in the Monk guy on tv. OCD is the self hate speak that repeats over and over in your head like I'm not worth anything, nobody likes me, it would be better if I died, I wish I were dead, I wish it all would end. This doesn't mean your suicidal it's called suicidal ideation (but it can go there with the big ups and downs of bipolar.
Poor impulse control goes with both disorders which is why Brit does such stupid ass things. The haircut last year… that kind of stuff is so common, tattoo's.. (my sister has a friend who is bipolar and on her initial big episode she was gone for 4 days ran up almost 10k on her credit cards, cut her hair, dyed it an odd color lost her virginity and the kicker… got a tattoo on her ass of a VW bug car….. a big tattoo. she was 22 and ended up hospitalized) (I'll have to call her up and laugh at her again when I'm done here… a vw bug car… heh) What I really hope is that the babies get some therapy to help them deal with this now as opposed to years down the line, having your mom flip out isn't good for a little guy :p

When I think of Britney, I think of the book "The Blind Side" about a great football prospect who had had little or no formal schooling and even less exposure to basic life skills by age 16. While at school, he was clueless about basic activities and common cultural references to things like "fairy tales". Britney strikes me as a person whose upbringing has left her woefully unprepared for life. She seems to have poor coping skills and no frame of reference for her life or actions. I feel bad for her and her kids. She's the product of deficient parenting, our pornofied culture and the media. I hope she gets the help she needs.
