NO Actors Will Attend
The Screen Actors Guild officially announced on Friday that none of its members would appear at the Golden Globes.
SAG released the following statement about their decision:
"After considerable outreach to Golden Globe actor nominees and their representatives over the past several weeks, there appears to be unanimous agreement that these actors will not cross WGA picket lines to appear on the Golden Globe Awards as acceptors or presenters. We applaud our members for this remarkable show of solidarity for striking Writers Guild of America writers."
For their part, NBC also announced on Friday that the Golden Globes telecast will go on next Sunday.
Yeah, that was before the actor's said they weren't showing up.

The only actor who said that he would be at the awards was Donald Sutherland. So, its only going to be Donald and the waiters. Who cares about the awards, but I do feel sorry for first time nominees who won't be aknowledge like Ellen Page from Juno, she was great in that movie. As for the writers, keep on striking we don't need you. We have the playoffs, the Superbowl, Lost, the new midseason replacements, American Idiol, Showtime, HBO, and of course Law and Order reruns on almost every channel to keep our tv watching enjoyable.
I want to see James Spader accept the award for faggiest star on ABC.

This is just ridiculous. I understand solidarity and everything, but this is completely irresponsible in regards to the viewers and the fans. Striking in the middle of a season not only upsets, but offends the millions of people dependent on these writers and actors. GREAT, get rid of the boring celeb speeches and what are you wearing BS, show more movie clips and longer clips. Who will HOST? I think the actors and actresses should be able to go to the golden globes if they want, and I think the show should be able to go on the air also. I mean, I dont think that it really takes that much writing for the show anyway…..

I agree with the writers strike. I understand why they are doing it. I dont appreciate their willingness to throw people under the bus to get what they want. They think that everybody should support them, and the non writing staff on tv shows, and such probably do support them. But do the writers support those people who arent writers that work on tv shows? I dont think so because they wouldnt have pitched a hissy fit when carson daly came back on his show. NBC was going to fire his non writer staff if he didnt return to work. The writers keep complaining that they arent getting paid enought money, but then they dont really care if those other non writer people get fired or not. I think the writers are just plain hipocrites. Also, another thing that got under my skin is when they bashed jay leno for writing his own jokes when he came back on the air. When he supported them for the whole two months that his show was off the air. They are very ungreatfull.
