Tom Cruise's United Artist has struck an interim deal with the Writers Guid.

UA is the first studio to reach an independent agreement with the WGA, much like David Letterman recently did.

Hopefully other studios and production companies will follow.

"Extremely" is also an adverb, modifying the adverb "poorly." That's what adverbs do — they modify verbs and other adverbs. Your suggestion is to have an adjective (poor) modifying a verb (to write), and that's as criminal as not flossing. Stick to dentistry where your talents are actual.
