I never criticized Madonna, or said anything about her in a negative way. Nor do I feel the need to criticize others, I simply replied to your comment about "catholics" in general, as you have made a lot of generalizations about that religion and the people that follow that religion. Which is not only ignorant on your behalf, but incredibly nescient.
Regardless of my personal beliefs, or religion aside, I feel it is wrong on any level to make such unenlightened comments of which you know virtually nothing about.
In the beginning, you did not attack the "catholic church", you attacked "catholics" that follow that religion. And, not all catholic people hate gays- and follow the bible's every word. There is nothing wrong with defending someone, it is wrong when you make insensible and mindless comments such as the ones that you made earlier, when you decide to "generalize" a particular religious group or people.
The Eastern Orthodox church for instance, also recognizes itself as "catholic", yet has many different approaches to their belief systems. There are many belief systems that recognize themselves as "catholic", but share many different views. So therefore, I maintain that unless you fully understand the depth and gist of your comments, I suggest you refrain from making such appalling statements again.
