Canadian rocker Bif Naked has been diagnosed with breast cancer, the singer announced on Sunday.
However, she is ready to tackle this deadly disease!
"I have never been one to give up when an obstacle is placed in front of me," says Bif. "I am in the fight of my life and I'm lucky to have the support of my husband Ian, and many friends, and family members. I'm glad it's me and not my mom. I'm glad its me and not my sister; I'm glad its me and not any of my friends. I am ready for the fight."
Naked is only 36 years old and until now had been in good health.
Our thoughts are with her!

Having met & spoken with Bif, I know that she's been very mindful about her health: physically active, a vegan, and consciencious about cosmetic/skincare ingredients.
I am very, very shocked by this news! Though I'm sure she'll receive excellent treatment here in Vancouver, she is, indeed, in for a tremendous battle.

Don't know her but we're part of a sisterhood now. I'm six and a half years out from breast cancer and things are looking good. You fight, and you fight, and you fight. Every day you get is a day you get. Fight it, fight it, fight it. you do whatever it takes, and you get to see the sunrise another day. Good luck, my sister.

That is so sad. I was just watching her CRIBS and she seems like she was so healthy…. All of the foods she ate and how she takes great care of herself, she look glowing….

this should remind us to get our "girls" checked no matter what age. which brings to me the following: we all should fight for regular and paid mammograms no matter what age, and not when one turns 40. hell hmos don't seem to have a problem to pay for viagra.
