Plugging The Holes

Thankfully our TVs won't be filled exclusively with reality programs these coming months.

As the writers strike continues to drag on, the broadcast networks are faced with the dilemma of filling the void from their missing shows.

In many instances, that means a lot of shitty TV. But, CBS has just announced plans to air 12 episodes of cult Showtime show Dexter, starring Michael C. Hall.

Good move!

Maybe they will start importing shows from the U.K.???

Fox should totally air Skins! And Little Britain would do well for NBC!

Who watches Primetime anyway?? Greys Anotomy, Heros, Lost, and all that other crap is just that. CRAP. Only thing worth watching was "The Office". I like reality televison tho. Maybe if these particular writers were actually GOOD at their jobs and didn't fill the airwaves with mindless cheesy recycled garbage, they would get paid more.

I've seen Little Britain on DVD. It's the shittiest, most unfunny, pathetic excuse for comedy I've ever had the misfortune of suffering through. We don't get that British sense of humor in this country. We like comedies that our actually, dare I say it, funny!

American, that's cause you've no understanding of British culture. I moved to the UK from Spain and didn't find Little Britain funny at the beginning. But now that I have come to know the idiosincracies of the country and its inhabitants, I see the funny side.

I have never posted to this site before, but I have to say I am so SICK of the writers strike. They are a bunch of whiners as far as I am concerned. People should start writing the networks to boycott the shows even after they come back AND write all of the sponsers about boycotting their products. Those writers make enough money as it is, as do the Networks….. I am all for watching more Brittish shows and YES, most educated Americans do get the humor of Brittish TV, Movies etc…..

it's a good thing CBS owns Showtime because they can just repurpose their original cable series that most people don't get to see… i don't think the other networks can boast a similar advantage… HBO, Cinemax, Starz are all independent i think…
