Britney Spears' former bodyguard, Tony Baretto, is chiming in on his former employer's recent troubles.
Fat Tony tells TV's Extra:
“There’s something that needs to be fixed with Britney. No bodyguard can’t do it. An assistant can’t do it. And Britney, obviously, can’t do it alone. The times that I've seen her use narcotics, maybe made her [mental] condition worsen. I think definitely she's got some kind of mental problem."
Of Spears' erratic behavior, he adds, "She’s happy. She’s walking around the house and then all of a sudden, she’s crying and it’s gotten as bad as her screaming."
Baretto says that he is concerned with the well being of Tater Tot and Small Fry saying, “I think anywhere is safer than mom’s house, unfortunately.”
He also fears that Spears’ is a suicide risk. “There’s been a couple times where I felt that way,” Baretto admits.
No one can tell Brit Brit what to do and Fat Tony believes that is the issue. “Her parents can’t control her. The judge can’t control her. Nobody can control her. She does what she wants. There’s nobody that can tell her what to do,” he says.

Personally, I am glad he came out with the truth. Nobody knew all that until he said something. When you are dealing with someone who nobody can control, maybe how the bodygaurd choose to do it… is the only way. Since her last meltdown, everyone should know he was the one telling the truth! He had been trying to tell/warn everyone! It was the best thing he did for those boys.

Because since she was little everybody else was telling her what to do. Look like this, look like that, say this, say that, don't say that, do this, do that. And then in her teens she was allowed to do whatever the hell she wanted. And since she wasn't ever shown to make her own choices, positive ones especially, she just did as she thought was best. If you have no background to make good choices how in the world are you expected to make the right ones. I'm not trying to say she's innocent, but a lot of people (especially her family) played big parts in her behavior. Yeah, she's making the decisions she's making now, and technically the responsiblity falls on her, but there's a lot more to it. She hasn't set any boundaries for herself and so she does anything and everything that she thinks is ok. She was admired and loved by the public for most of her life, and she is still is by some, and so she felt she could do no wrong. She doesn't see or understand the effects of her behavior.

Folks, let's face it…it's apparent among other speculated "illnesses" that Britney suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder by way of WITHOUT it (attention), she's not a happy girl. She's still a child who never had parents who grounded her with any sense of reality, most likely never had anyone tell her no and stick to the principle of why it's a no, and cannot fathom life without being the center of it all. And so now, she's "dating" this videographer, poorly imitating a British accent, popping in here and there, cruising around for what…MORE ATTENTION. She's not addicted to drugs or alcohol, but rather the attention we all have in watching a train wreck unfold before our very eyes.

04) Just take a moment everyday to realize that our interest in Britney's life (even though it's very minor such as reading up news on a celebrity) is actually building up pain and suffering into other people's lives. Mental illness is a very serious thing. I have dealt with it within my family and it hurts and is destructive. There is no reasoning with the person unless you have a huge, huge connection with them.
Often it is a chemical imbalance which can not be helped. They need guidance and assistance which is a horrible situation for both the individual and the family… because the person involved will not accept it. They need trust, just like anyone else and are not aware of what is happening around them.
It is not something to be taken lightly … and is so hard on everyone. The individual, family and friends.
I just wish that people would not be so critical and show some compassion. It is an extremely difficult situation to deal with and understand compassionately … especially if you have no expierence with it. There are thousands of families that deal with it every day … but we are the unspoken because it is considered an imbursement.

I stuck with him for six months and tried to get him help but I just couldn't deal with the drama anymore. I really feel for the people who try to handle Brit on a regular basis.
