Ryan Seacrest is in tight with Britney and her camp. He announced on his radio show Monday morning that his "sources" were telling him Spears would not be showing up to her custody hearing at court today.

Spears is not required to be there, but if she doesn't show, she's probably losing her kids until April.

She doesn't care about them anyways!

Kevin Federline is already at court.

My opinion - she is not going for specific reasons, namely that she is afraid that they will attempt to institutionalize her. I am sure people in her camp have told her this. Once the true story comes in from the cops and EMTs… there is a risk the judge may find that she is mentally unstable and issue a court order to institutionalize her. Adn that won't do for Brit. Or - if she had even a hint of a breakdown while in court that too might force the judges hand to send her away for the help she obviously needs. Too bad this is not a hearing that requires her attendance. If it did and I were the judge - if she did not show I would quietly issue a warrant and have the cops go get her straight away. I would also send her away for psychiatric help.

What exactly has to happen to those kids before the courts are convinced that she is a detriment to them and constantly puts them in harms way? This has been going on since they were born with no effort on her part to change. At some point the blame for her problems (mostly self-induced) needs to be at herself rather than others. Thats part of being an adult. Being an adult doesn't mean you know everything - but you know when you need help & ask rather than blame. If I were K-Fed & the grandparents I would be very afraid. I would not want her to be alone with the children; I would not want them to be in the company of her & her new friend; I would worry about reports concerning he & his wife's arrangements, I would worry she & her new guy might try to kidnap them & leave the country.
