People will just make a big stink about it and blame drugs and whatever else, when tons of kids are born cross-eyed even though their moms did everything RIGHT during pregnancy. Stop trying to turn it into something more than it is! Also, who CARES if he got paid for the interview. If the baby needs surgery and medical treatment, it will no doubt be expensive due to there being no national health system in the US, so Larry will need to finance her medical care somehow!

My son was born the same month as DL and was also cross-eyed. We had a surgery done at 9 months to correct the problem & he's 100% cured. The sooner you have the operation done, the better the outcome. When they are little, they have not "favored" one eye over the other but with crossed eyes as they get bigger, they choose one eye to favor over the other which can problematic after surgery. So… GET HER EYES FIXED, DUMBASS. This would be one of those "no brainer" moments~ the technology is there… USE IT. *ugh- people are stupid*

Strabismus surgery is quick and simple and usually done on infants. I had this surgery in May of 07 to correct my double vision, after having worn glasses for a year, and I'm 29.
He should take her to the Doris Stein Eye Institute at UCLA Medical Center. They are the best of the best and I am very pleased with their work. Best of luck to them both.
People - get a life! This has nothing to do with drug use, or any such thing. It is called strabismis. It is very common and is the result of a muscle imbalance in the eyes. It is a 1 hour outpatient surgery. It should be done…because at some point if the eyes are not seeing correctly it can affect brain development.

Yup, eye conditions such as D-Ls are often caused bye the mothers substanse abuse during pregnancy. Sad. Hope that is the only one.

I feel sorry for the baby, but we may never know the full affect Anna's drug use has had and will have on Dannilynn.
Amy-while I understand that in most cases this surgery is fairly straightforward, it was not in my case when I was an infant with this problem, so my family just chose to have me wear glasses. It worked out fine, and now that I'm 23 I can take out my contacts for several hours and you can't even tell the difference. It's not an automatic that everyone NEEDS to get the surgery, there can be risks associated with it for some people. Plus, I have the most *hysterical* pictures from when I was 2! The only drawback is wearing glasses in the beginning of middle school before you are old enough to wear contacts, yet kids are being cruel about the glasses! But it's worth not taking the risk of surgery for some people.
Why can't he just give his little girl some privacy to deal with her health issues? He is such a douche bag and dead beat using his daughter to make money. Did he earn a dollar on his own without selling that little girl's video or pictures since he got her?

i didnt need fuckin surgery and my eyes were REALLY bad. i just wore and eyepatch for about 5 years and now i just have to wear glasses for the rest of my life.
I can totally understand how he feels about her going into surgery to fix it after his dad's sergery, but i can say my mother was born with this too and she waited till her 30's to do it, she was so scared to do anything about it, she did cop a lot of teasing in her life, she was convinced to have it done after she had her children and the surgery turned out fine, no problems with her sight and her eye's are now straight, she is very glad to have had it done and wished she'd done it sooner, if anyone knows Larry he really has no reason to worry, it can be corrected, he should not worry about going through with it. My mum's parents have never taken drugs or any medications so i don't think it's related to that either, she was born in a remote country area so it was pretty clean living there.
It would be interesting to see (no pun) if the drug use whilst she was pregnant and all. Also, if she is already having these kind of problems- God knows what's to come! Not good I think.

Pfffft, drugs wouldn't cause this, it's more than likely genetic. I was born with it but a simple surgery when I was younger and its sorted. I don't even remember it, and it's not really a disability, just one eye focuses more than it needs to usually.
