When chavez was in Paris last year, Naomi have been seen with her at the Park Hyatt Hotel from midnight to 3am, then she left.

Then in December when Chavez was opening a new refinery in Cuba financed by the Venezuela, guess who was the invitee: Naomi. And many people didn't understood why she was here.

Ok I cheated a bit as one of my good friend work at the Park Hyatt in Paris and she saw them together after that the security asked them to unplug the video camera.

What is better to compare is that after the Chavez-Sarkozy meeting, both are now dating an ex top model!!!!

I never said Chavez was a "good person". What I did say is that Chavez is far more democratic than his south american contemporaries and his predecessor, Perez, who was a lackey to the IMF and American interests, increasing Venezuela's GDP (at least in his first term) but also greatly increasing the divide between the wealthy and the overwhelming poor. Perez's anti-protest reactions were crushing, severe, oppressive, tyrannical, and killed far more civilians than Chavez's anti-government responses have.
I disagree, obviously, with Chavez's attempts at constitutional reformation, but he's done alot more for the poor in your country, and the future economic prosperity of ALL of Venezuela than the puppets you've been run by for the last half a century.
So how about you respond with something other than "come live in Venezuela", like, you know, an argument? Dumb broad.

There is no separation of powers in Venezuela, no system of "checks and balances"; the chavez regime controls the national assembly and the supreme court. Poverty has increased tremendously, and it is normal for 100 persons to be killed during the weekends, in Caracas alone. Corruption is rampant.

It is a shame that celebrities come to Venezuela and meet with chavez, just because he “stands up to Bush”. Nevertheless, it is good to see that international opinion is finally changing and chavez is being seen for what he actually is: a new kind of dictator, who wants to take over Latin America, for his own interests.
