Wow. This is some serious shiz!
It takes something really mayjah to get Rosie O'Donnell to speak in half sentences (as opposed to her usual haiky style).
The former talk show host just posted the following entry on her blog about Britney Spears, the next Princess Diana, in her eyes.

I remember the tunnel as it appeared on the news, lit by headlights, flashlights, red lights. Between the cement tall pillars was a heap of twisted metal. I saw it then, and I can see it now. Diana dead.
She will be trying to get away, but they will chase her, just as they chased her into that church yesterday. There were dozens of them, jostling their way into sanctuary, elbowing past each other, just to creep closer to her. Even her last-minute, folded-hand prayers can’t be kept sacred. There can be no silent moments in a crowd; no silence, and no secrets.
All this fresh, painful frailty costs her so much, but it lines their pockets very well. A kings ransom was paid for those tabloid-ready cheap shots of her with messy hair, tear-soaked eyes, and the half-smile of a desperate baby girl.

If she truly wanted to get away from the paps, she would get help and move to Louisiana. Without the attention she would be nowhere since her album bombed and her career is in ruins. I worry about you Perz, this is the most heart felt and necassary letter that i have seen from any celebrity about Britney, we all know you ppray to the devil each morning hoping to see her in a coffin, but the rest of us with hear and compassion share Rosie's centiment, i could not watch that footage all the way through yesterday becuase it was too itrusive and beyond crossing the line, i'm glad that real people understand that the media have gone to far where brit is concerned

wow that made me feel sorry for brit for a second then I snaped back to reality and remembered that all she has to do is ask for help and she will get it. People will prob say oh when you are sick it is hard to ask for help. well guess what I KNOW because I was there! I was sick once too and I asked for help! if I can do it so can she! yes it is hard but she can do it. all she has to doo is keep loking forward and remember that at the end of the tunnel her babies are waiting for her!

I wouldn't exactly compare these two, but then Rosie is an idiot. First of all Britney is NO Diana. Diana never sought out the attention and ate it up the way Britney does. Britney loves the attention she gets so boo hoo. Also, I dont think Diana's death is entirely the photographer's fault like others do. She was in a tunnel and her driver was drunk and traveling at high speeds. I would say the photographer wasn't the only one involved whose actions were a little reckless and irresponsible.

Let's ignore the part where she gives them her daily itinerary and uses them as a maid service, pumping gas and protecting her. Sure, at first I felt sorry for her but she's crazy, she loves the attention and she's asked for it. It's true. I felt the same way after watching them harass her in the church yesterday. I would not want to be stalked like that for anything! This fascination with Britney has to end - she doesn't have to do anything these days (e.g. she goes to the store, or out for a milkshake) and suddenly it is a media circus and they're going to drive her over the edge.

Wow. I have to agree with Rosie. What she said is so true. I think people are absolutly too hard on Britney. Yes she does need to get her shit together for her children but people need to stop worrying about how she is going to fuck up next. She is human just like the rest of us. I do not belive that this is what she signed up for to be famous. I don't think she ever had a choice other than to be famous. What child wouldn't want to do what she did. Just because she is who she is does not give anyone the right to be waiting for her outside her house or to take pictures of her children. People that have horrible things to say about this girl should really take a look back at their own lives and remember all the mistakes they have made.

Rosie isn't my favorite person…but I do agree with what she wrote.
So, are these comments crazy just because Rosie said them, or what? To me they seem pretty accurate. I'm actually surprised Rosie made these comments because from what I've seen of her work in the past she could barely communicate English.
Of course, it's easily to dismiss these comments (and people will) regardless of how accurate they are just because she said them. However, I think that it is quite obvious even now that this newfound celeb-stalkerazzi world is going to eventually implode on itself. It's absolutely bound to. People are attracted to it and stay glued to the television watching it, which is normal, because it's sensationalized garbage. In the future when historians look at the ruin that has become our world they will wonder why people didn't really care and why their eyes weren't on the ball. I wonder if they will know that the reason is because we were all too busy watching a celebrity's privates as they exit a car to go to a club so that they can drown their sorrows and not have to deal with their pathetic excuse for an existance. As much of a non-Rosie fan as I am, she is right. Brit is like a little kid getting picked on… no matter how bad it gets for her, people will continue to beat her down. She has an ILLNESS and needs LOVE and TREATMENT. I have no clue what her family is doing that is more important than an intervention or having her forced into treatment. She probably feels hopeless at this point and figures if she gives the media PLENTY of pictures, they'll get bored and leave her alone. It's not going to work and just drive her deeper into this depression and mania she's already way too deep into.
I will keep praying for her and this boy she's with. He is preying on her. She's at a weak point and looking for someone to protect her. He probably appears "safe" since he "knows how the pap work".
