Wow. This is some serious shiz!
It takes something really mayjah to get Rosie O'Donnell to speak in half sentences (as opposed to her usual haiky style).
The former talk show host just posted the following entry on her blog about Britney Spears, the next Princess Diana, in her eyes.
Says Ro:
"TWENTY SIX
I remember the tunnel as it appeared on the news, lit by headlights, flashlights, red lights. Between the cement tall pillars was a heap of twisted metal. I saw it then, and I can see it now. Diana dead.
She will be trying to get away, but they will chase her, just as they chased her into that church yesterday. There were dozens of them, jostling their way into sanctuary, elbowing past each other, just to creep closer to her. Even her last-minute, folded-hand prayers can’t be kept sacred. There can be no silent moments in a crowd; no silence, and no secrets.
All this fresh, painful frailty costs her so much, but it lines their pockets very well. A kings ransom was paid for those tabloid-ready cheap shots of her with messy hair, tear-soaked eyes, and the half-smile of a desperate baby girl.
“I’m scared,” she told them yesterday, when they later mobbed her at court. “Move back,” she said. “I’m scared. Stop it. Stop it. I want to get back in the car. Just stop it. Let me get in the car, please.”
Sometimes it really is too much. Internal wires cross. Anxiety hits. Panic sets in the heart. Dread. Fear.
But she asked for it, she’s a public figure.
At eight years old, she bravely stood before a microphone. By 17, she had sold 25 million records. Where were the sidewalk-skinned knees, the chalk stained hands, the monkey bars, the passed notes? A Disney set is not a childhood, no matter how many bright colors they use, or how cheerful the script.
Not a girl, barely even a woman yet, they chased her. A mob of stalkers for whom no stalking laws have been written. Smother. Crush. Flash. Photo Credit. Even Dr. “Get Real” Phil got in on the action. Unreal.
83 million albums sold so far. How many pictures?
The tunnel is crowded now. There are only inches of separation between vulnerability and disaster."

Can Rosie shut the fuck up! Britney covets the publicity and acts out for attention. though I fully believe she is mentally ill. If she truly wanted to get away from the paps, she would get help and move to Louisiana. Without the attention she would be nowhere since her album bombed and her career is in ruins. Britney has to take some responsibilty for her own actions, mental or not.

I worry about you Perz, this is the most heart felt and necassary letter that i have seen from any celebrity about Britney, we all know you ppray to the devil each morning hoping to see her in a coffin, but the rest of us with hear and compassion share Rosie's centiment, i could not watch that footage all the way through yesterday becuase it was too itrusive and beyond crossing the line, i'm glad that real people understand that the media have gone to far where brit is concerned

wow that made me feel sorry for brit for a second then I snaped back to reality and remembered that all she has to do is ask for help and she will get it. People will prob say oh when you are sick it is hard to ask for help. well guess what I KNOW because I was there! I was sick once too and I asked for help! if I can do it so can she! yes it is hard but she can do it. all she has to doo is keep loking forward and remember that at the end of the tunnel her babies are waiting for her!

In a weird way, I agree with Rosie..At times I may seem inpatient ..but to britney's credit..it might have been toooo much when she tried to go to the court…I do not know..she needs to seriously seclude herself and be. I wouldn't exactly compare these two, but then Rosie is an idiot. First of all Britney is NO Diana. Diana never sought out the attention and ate it up the way Britney does. Britney loves the attention she gets so boo hoo. Also, I dont think Diana's death is entirely the photographer's fault like others do. She was in a tunnel and her driver was drunk and traveling at high speeds. I would say the photographer wasn't the only one involved whose actions were a little reckless and irresponsible.

Let's ignore the part where she gives them her daily itinerary and uses them as a maid service, pumping gas and protecting her. Sure, at first I felt sorry for her but she's crazy, she loves the attention and she's asked for it. She doesn't understand that she can be inviting to them one day and then cold the next, they won't just go away. Britney, do everyone a favor and just lock yourself inside your house for a while.
