   i noticed her speech cadence/rhythm sounded just like tom. is she taking on his mannerisms/speech because he's older and the teacher and the male? or is he talking like her now too? probaly not. probaly more likely that in patriarchal hollywood women become more like guys to get ahead and fit in. after all, in tv land every over uses the "hey you guys" term for everyone they are talking to. but no one calls a group of men and women "you gals".
