Britney's "manager" Osama Lutfi actually went on the record and blamed Spears' absence from the courtroom on Monday on the paparazzi.

He tells E! News that the throngs of paparazzi awaiting the former singer's arrival made it impossible for her to enter the building, as there was "no way to get her out of the car safely."
Bullshit!
First of all, both the LAPD and the court have gone on the record stating that Spears has been uncooperative with them in communicating her movements and travels to the court, which would help them assist her.
And, secondly, despite that, law enforcement was out in full effect yesterday and keeping the peace. In fact, officers were even trying to coax Spears out of her car. She refused.

Re: lex – Lex, there were cops all over the place. They would be the ones in blue shirts with badges on them, just so you can pick them out. From what I read, she could have gotten out without a single pap near her when the car was in the tunnel. That's where her attorneys got out of the car. But she wouldn't get out of the car at all where it was safe. Instead, she tried to get out of the car in her favorite place in the world, right smack in the middle of the cameras. She is, after all, hot.
We should have seen this all coming when she married that guy in Vegas on a whim several years ago. Who does that? Mom and dad apparently still had control of her then. Too bad they don't now.

The only time she has "trouble" with the paps is when she has to go to court. Otherwise, the dozens of paps around her are welcome and don't seem to stop her from doing anything she wants.

Papparazzi is such filth. In my opinion, these alleged "journalists" are nothing more than common stalkers. No, not common, exceptional stalkers. Their "job" is to follow people around everywhere they go, take their picture, get video of "embarrasing" situations, to basically document every second of any life they want. They sit outside stars houses and condos, hoping to get pictures of anything going on inside. They chase you in their cars, cutting around you at every possible angle, making for the most dangerous driving enviroment ever. And most of these "journalists" are convicted felons.

What would YOUR life be like if you had 50 people waiting outside of your house all the time, waiting to photo you doing…. anything at all. As soon as you get in your car, to say, go to the store…….. These alleged journalists hop in cars and vans and surround you to make sure they don't miss a picture of you picking your nose, or scratching your butt, or turning without using your turn signal. And when you get to the store? You are immediately surrounded by 50 "journalists" with cameras flashing in your face CONSTANTLY. A harsh, blinding light burst as close as they can get. So, they now have 10,000 pics of you buying a coffee and a pack of gum. Back to your car now, you try to pull out to leave, except your cars is surrounded by, you guessed it, "journalsists" flashing and flashing and flashing their cameras. Back on the road now, you are surrounded by vehicles all cutting each other off to get the best pic of you they can, forget about driving safe, people want to know what you are doing.
Has anyone thought to maybe connect with her on a personal level? Everyone over there in Hollywood and no one willing to take a moment out of their fn' day to level with this chic. I am a sufferer of ADD and bi-polar dissorder. It is so easy to swoop in and manipulate someone who is battling to know who they are on a daily basis. I'm lucky that i have no children to complicate my daily life adding even more stress and i've made bad choices that could have actually put my life in harms way. I think it's a psychological thing. She's maybe pushing her kids away because subconsciously she sees them as the catalyst of her problems. It seemed to be after the second was born that things got too much for her. The attention seeking she does with all the wild nights out and rebellious hair shaving thing is the same sort of behaviour that teenagers display when they're insecure. Plus they don't care whether the attention is good or bad…attention is attention. For not only her children's sake but for hers I think she really needs to get out of this LA Paris Hilton-esque bubble and try and stay out of the public eye for a few months.
Take a minute to look away from this trash. Look at what is going on in your world. There are a great many bigger issues that the custody case of a couple whitetrash rich-folk. For example, and it is a little "lame", take a look at the world news section and you will see, i'd guess, about 60 people a day being killed in insurgent fighting, then there is the bombings and the kidnappings that happen every day. Or maybe, something a little more heartwarming. Like the story of the double amputee that wants to run in the Olympics.
Or better yet, get off your computer and go take care of your children.

She was playing a game! She has no problem day after day shopping, gas staitons, eating, drug stores……with them all around. Actually she would not be able to get through the day without them. I have a hard time believing this. She doesnt seem to have a hard time going anywhere else with the photogs around. So why is she all of a sudden afraid to have to make it through the crowd of photogs to get into the court house. They are always present, they dont stop her from doing anything else. I was on Britney's side until yesterday afternoon,when she went to court and did not go in to see about her sons custody. I was actually cheering her on when she arrived late, I thought better late than never and at least show K-Fed his lawyer ,her lawyer and the commissioner that she cared enough to speak up for herself and tell the court what happened the night she was hospitalized and to say she loved her sons,and would do whatever necessary to maintain the limited visitation she had with them. But when I saw she got out of her van and said I am not going in there,that was it. If she had been scared then why didn't she have her father and brother there with her like she brought Sam Lufti and Adnan. All of them could have walked her through the crowds and police were there to help. Britney performed in front of crowds bigger than the ones that were there yesterday. But she copped out and later ran to a church. Brit has had many chances since she lost 50/50 custody back in October to have pulled herself together and easily had that verdict over turned in her favor. But she continues to be defiant,in denial,and ultimately her own worst enemy. What does she think is going to happen on Febrauary 19th when the court reconvines,and the further court appreances in April? It will still be the same crowds of papparazzi out there. I guess when she loses permenant custody and has no visitation whatsoever she will then be satisified.
It's going to take a paparazzi ban on Britney to get this chick to hit rock bottom and get help. She thrives on the attention and would be nothing without it at this point. So I say fuck her and let's report on more interesting people, ie ones that don't spend more time at the gas station than doing real life things.

Re: lex – Every court house in the UNITED STATES has their own police force, appointed usually through the State Police or State Marshals. There are always officers outside of the building during high profile hearings, as well, as quite a few within the courtroom itself. I know this, coming from a Law Enforcement family, and having a brother who is a State Marshal. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON GOOD ENOUGH FOR HER TO NOT EXIT HER ESCALADE AND ENTER THE COURT HOUSE. There was also, no good reason as to why she didn't confer with officials to set up a drop off time. Ms. Spears, it is in my opinion, made her obligatory appearance to the cameras, to show that she did in fact have every intention of being present at the hearing. She had absolutely no intention of walking into that court room on January 14th, 2008. It was a staged act. Such as all she does. Because as you, and millions of other people have witnessed, ALL THE WORLD IS HER STAGE. The person who plays to the cameras as much as she does is in no position to pull out the papparazzi card now.
