Nor do I subscribe to their former leader - Joseph Smith's - viewpoints, having 33 wives… that we know of. Probably more, according to the 20 or more unbiased books I've read on Mormonism. My girlfriend fled from the Mormon church when she refused to wear the blessed cloth 24/7 after marriage and refused to believe she was inadequate for not populating more than 8 children for her "planet." Let me ask you this…all of the facts about mormonism that people don't agree with aside…mormons believe in living a clean life. They choose not to drink alcohol, they don't smoke or use drugs. They believe in looking at sex as a sacred thing and choose not be promiscuous. The believe in being honest, and having integrity. They serve other like you wouldn't believe. They focus on their families and are trying to raise their children to be self sufficient and good hard working people. Please please please, tell me how any of this would cause harm to anyone else? You may not believe in the particulars of their faith, but how are they harming anyone? If anything, I'm thinking they are pretty darn good examples of how to live a good honest life.

2) Romney winning is a great thing for Democrats. It turns the Republican race into a total clusterf*ck. Romney is rich & desperate, and now with winning Michigan, he's gonna put out a whole lot of attack ads against his fellow Republican candidates. In fact, many Democratic voters in Michigan voted for Romney with this in mind. The GOP likes having a clear candidate at this stage of the game. With Romney winning, it kinda f*cks it all up. They will combust over this. It's gonna be awesome.
Oh and yeah, Romney has NO WAY in hell of winning. Not only because he's Mormon, but because his positions keep changing drastically. He is the ultimate "flip-flopper" and that is his Achilles heel. (Love how that term comes back to haunt the Republican party 4 years later. Thanks Karl Rove!)
3) Edwards has unfortunately suffered a media black-out, and it's frustrating that the Democratic primary has turned into a 2 way race. Unlike Obama and Clinton, Edwards HAS NEVER TAKEN A SINGLE DIME FROM LOBBYISTS. He refuses because he realizes this is necessary in order to make progressive substantive change. If you give lobbyists a voice in your campaign, you will have to have a voice in the White House.

Obvious McDuhpants here, but if Giuliani wins Florida that means a different candidate would have won all four of the first (and biggest popularity-indicator) Republican primaries. That doesn't bode well for the party as a whole, because it means that a strong candidate that can unite Republican voters doesn't exist within that party.
As a diehard Democrat that news should be exciting - the Republicans don't have a strong front, yay! - but to be honest it's a let down. I'd like a Democratic victory to actually be a victory, not an election of a leader because the other one was downright pathetic. We left those days back when FDR died.
(Also, I'm a McCain fan - if for some reasons the Democrats lose, I could live with him, since he's at least *realistic* about what you can do about immigration, torture, and individual rights.)
Re: belle – Romney's faith may make him a decent human being, but as a governor in Massachusetts he failed miserably. His first two years were all right, but he ignored his responsibilities in his last two years to focus on a presidential campaign. He made his female Lt. Governor take credit for bills and laws that would not fly with the more conservative elements of the Republican party - gay marriage is only one example - and he signed a law that mandates healthcare for everyone living in MA, although the law provides *no way* to make the health care affordable to students, the elderly, or people with low incomes.
Romney hasn't been successful at everything he has done, but no one seems to listen to his failures.

Alot of my friends are Mormon, because they are good people to be around. Also, having more than one wife was practiced in the religion about 200 years ago or somthing like that so the wives could have a husband to take care of them, since women could not own land 200 years ago!…
How come when a Mormon runs for President, the Mormons don't fight back to all the trash talk they get and if they do it is intellectual and in a good manner. Everyone keeps bashing them because its easy and no one does anything about it. The "blessed cloth" are garments and they wear them once they go to the temple. It is just like underwear but you have to keep it covered up and since the garments are like a thin shirt and shorts, they can wear any clothing over them as long as the garments are covered. That means they are modest! It is just my thought that more people should behave like the Mormons and be more modest as well. They have may standards that they go by like not swearing, being modest, no dating till 16 then it is group dating until 18, no coffee or caffeine, no more than one peircing in each ear, and they also don't have anything to do with pornography (which is a huge problem these days) or druges or alcohol…
