The bad news? Mike Huckabee is still talking stoopid.
The good news? Polls are showing that he's pretty much out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
In a new interview, Huckabee equates homosexuality to bestiality.
When talking about his hopes to change the constitution, he says, "Well, I don’t think that’s a radical view to say we’re going to affirm marriage. I think the radical view is to say that we’re going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, a man and three women, a man and a child, a man and animal. Again, once we change the definition, the door is open to change it again. I think the radical position is to make a change in what’s been historic"

I don't support Huckabee at all- but legally, interms of the word marriage, he is right. Marriage is defined in all the laws as a business and contractual arrangement between a man and a woman- since the dawn of law. Why does it make him an idiot to confirm that? And why should it change when civil unions (CUs) can be the term for that same business and social commitment between two gays? Marriage is more than a religious ceremony- and if you don't believe that, just TRY getting divorced. I don't get the problem with calling it a CU and give the same rights to that couple. Marriage is defined as a man and woman- legally as well as socially. Just pick another word if you don't like CU, get a lawyer and get on with it. Marriage is what it is and always has been. Just pick another word for the other options and get the same protections. But HAVE FUN when you want to leave. Because divorce is going to be the same 50-50, screaming match is usually is. enjoy that!

Just to clear something… True conservatives aren't that bad, they believe in government at the smallest level possible (i.e. local governments creating laws for the people in that community). Im quite positive that if you actually read this quote that does in fact make sense. Huckabee is not saying that homosexuality and beastiality are the same, but he is saying that once you make exceptions for one group then you will ultimately be forced into making exceptions for every group under the sun. History proves this but Huckabee is saying that the future should not follow this. It doesnt take a whole lot of effort to agree with this
