Quote Of The Day

"Someone like Amy Winehouse is so important to the music business right now. It's very painful (to see her battle drugs). I hope she makes it. I think it (the music industry) kind of got lost and we ended up in a drought for a while, but I see it making a turn, so instead of music being just synthetic, we'll see it going back to actual instruments. That's what I'm hoping for anyway."

- Mary J. Blige tells the new issue of Interview

How comforting that MARY J. BLIGE offer her support… but isn't it ALLEDGED that MJB is a S T E R O I D F R E A K ???? If true, and I suspect it IS true, it's sadder that some fake role model give advice to a crack whore like Amy. Trust me, the world will be much better off when AMY kills herself… it will send a good message that DRUGS KILL… the time time being, the message she is sending, and helped out by MJB is, "go party, and go have FUN FUN FUN!!!"

Please Amy, die, and do something positive for a change. Help others by DYING!!!!!!!!!!

And as tired as all this synthesized crap music can be, I'm even more tired of stupid drugged out wanna be rebels like Winohouse! I fucking hate crackheads with a passion! I give her two months at best! I say put her, Shitney, Lohan, and Parisite in a fast car with bad tires and set them loose on a curvy mountain road somewhere while Shitney's driving and having yet another meltdown!

  43. boygeorgewashington says – reply to this

    43

the only thing that is important in the music community is hit songs and heathy artists who have something positive to offer the world not who's partying, who's busted and in jail, who's to fucked up to play at their own concert. sympathy praise and worship should be directed towards the struggling artists of the world who are getting no attention because the media is to busy obsessing over the wrong shit.

  54. michelle says – reply to this

I agree with her 100%. Whatever is passing for hiphop/pop music these days is largely talentless. I rarely turn the radio on and hear anything worth listening to.

I love your music Amy. PLEASE get some help.

  56. chimp.pansy says – reply to this

    56

Where has this idea that she is some kind of "musical genius" come from? Her music is just kind of bland all right pastiche. She is living the life of a "tortured genius".
Can't help feeling I am being played by a manipulative record company, they must love the publicity and consequent sales

  57. mdwhitstable says – reply to this

    57

I hate to say this #57 but I think you are right… If she carries on like that for much longer she will either die or end up even more of a jibbering mess than she is already…
She needs to get help quick, not just for her drug addiction but also for her bulimia…

  58. stormy shores says – reply to this

    58

I can't believe people think this mongoloid can sing. The one thing she's talented at is hitting up the crack pipe.

  59. Sunday like Monday says – reply to this

    59

Re: Monday like Sunday – Give it a rest with the blonde hating. There are just as many no talent brown, red, purple, green and pink haired singers. Asslee is a red head/black/blonde. No matter what color she is, she still sucks. Kylie has been every color and she still sounds like a chipmunk.

Amy has talent but personally I think she has issues with the way she looks. She looked a hell of a lot better when she was natural. Now she looks like she's trying to be someone she's not. Drugs are the result, self esteem is the xause. When you look at her with blonde hair of cause your going to hate blondes. Why she's doing it.

  60. Lili says – reply to this

    60

Amy Winehouses entire story is sad as hell. Amazing voice, great persona… totally devistated by drugs…. HOW THE FUCK do people NOT know how this story ends yet? From Jim Morrison to Anna Nicole…. very few make it out alive.

  61. WakeUpCall says – reply to this

    61

Well said from one drug addicted piece of shit to another. Mary J. i remember what a mess u were in your youth doing concerts high as a kite and at grammy award shows so incoherent you didn' know which way was up. God and your circle of friends only know what you r doing today. You are the ghetto queen.

  62. Harry says – reply to this

    62

Not so long ago in history music used to be called "the divine art". Now it's called "the music industry", and probably that new name is appropriate for what we've got. Ms. Blige is taking a step in the right direction when she speaks of going back to "actual instruments", but it's still a long, long walk back to the divine art. Whatever big change comes in the world, music creates it long before it physically appears. That's a very sobering thought when you consider the music we have been using for the last 75 years.

  63. T-Meister says – reply to this

    63

I could not agree with MJB more. Music has been bad for so long and I DO see it beginning to get good again. (You teeny boppers would not understand…you will when you grow up.)
Be well Amy Winehouse…we NEED you.
And to post # 64: You don't know how this ends. Mick Jagger and Co. did more drugs than you could imagine. They did not die. Don't be such a downer.

  64. Lor says – reply to this

    64

I love you Mary but Wino sucks and she isn't going to fix anything musically. Music sucks because industry executives only go with what they know will sell. They would never take a risk on promoting good music because most music purchases are by adolescents, not adults. That's why we get all this shitty bumble gum pop crap shoved down our throats.

This is the one you should be bitching at for taking drugs. Unlike Britney, she has no excuse. She is a fucking criminal who should be dead or in jail. Thank god she has no children.

  67. Ali says – reply to this

    67

WHY IS THIS BITCH NOT IN JAIL?? I WISH SHE WOULD KILL HERSELF. HER MUSIC STINKS.

  68. jbonz says – reply to this

    68

    Hey, Mary…
Back in the day the artists WERE the music business. By sitting there weakly hoping that someone changes the music business you're pretty much admitting that you're just a fucking employee on the payroll of a promo machine. So what's new?

amy winehouse has better songs than this trashy mary j blige, god, she's not even that good.she sounds like a strangled cat, cant sing for shit.and her speeches are corny!boo hoo!

  71. Truth says – reply to this

    71

True, music HAS sucked in recent years, and singers like Amy and Mary J are some of the few who bring real, honest, soulful music to the table. And yes, it is unfortunate that Wino is caught up in a self-destructive web that threatens her life. BUT… there are MANY, many talented, passionate musicians and singers out there who would love a shot at improving the musical landscape. Amy Winehouse is NOT the last and only hope for music by ANY means. KNOW that.

  72. Mary J. Perez says – reply to this

    72

    Hail Mary!!!

I feel for Amy Winehouse and respect Mary for showing a little kindness in a world full of cruelty toward people with drug and alcohol problems.

    Hail Mary, full of grace.

    ei…who doesn't AMY WINEHOUSE… She's the next best thing

YEAH SHE MAY BE A DRUG ADDICT BUT HEY LOOK AT HER TALENTS…She's so unique and one-of-a-kind. I'm just sad that Amy doesn't realize that much. I love her singing prowess… Amy Winehouse…hope you'll wake uo from this mess around you

What an idiotic quote…the MUSIC INDUSTRY IS FULL OF PEOPLE LIKE AMY WINEHOUSE, but they're just not famous or on Kiss Fm…

Amy needs to sort herself out. I don't know how I would get through a day without listening to her music. It would be so devastating if she ends up dead :( My heart goes out to her and all the people that really cares about her. It's so sad to see her waiste her talent away to drugs. But I'm sure she'll get clean someday, before it's too late!!

    79

Mary J. commenting on "real" music? She has taken full advantage of the production age of music and any live performance by her shows this clearly. If it wasnt for fake music Mary would not be anywhere close to where she is today. What instruments does she play again, who's in her band??

  80. JAX says – reply to this

    80

just think of how the world of music would have been if janice joplin would have survived all her inner turmoil. let her do what she wants just hope she cares as much as we do to keep around.

    81

im sorry HOW is amy winehouse so important to the music industry. she had ONE song in the top 40 almost a year ago! and it was AWFUL!! who cares, she needs to go to rehab straighten her life out and forget about being famous for what she actually does. its sad

  82. Barbara says – reply to this

    82

Its so sad to see a beautiful girl with so much talent let the drugs and men take her life over. we need strong agents in the music industry there label shouldnt let them work are sing to make money untill rehab!!!!!

  83. Jacky says – reply to this

    83

honestly, she isn't important much to the music industry and if anything her drug addiction is making more money for people. maybe mary should check out all of the indies with artists who are important to the industry, who have kept talent and good music alive, regardless of mtv or commercial radio not playing it. sounds like someone needs to do her research before making such an ignorant statement.

  84. X says – reply to this

Amy Winehouse is an amazing singer with such a different and cool voice. I really hope she gets better because she could make music history and have such a great career. She'll do it, she just has to grow up. You can do it, Amy!
