Hayden Panettiere is determined to do her part to help save the whales!

Last year, the animal activist attempted to save a group of dolphins from slaughter in Japan. Unfortunately, that expedition didn't go well for the sea creatures.

Now, the Heroes actress is trying to DO MORE to help her favorite cause.

Hayden has launches the website PanettiereCloset.com, which lets U buy items from her wardrobe. And all the money goes to the "Save the Whales Again" campaign.

Sounds pretty heroic to us!

      silly girl, there are MILLIONS of very poor women, abused women, and young women just starting out in life that could use those lil duds there that you obviously no longer want/need. DONATE them to an organization that helps dress these women for interviews. Raising money with your old shit for whales? HONEY write a check and go out on a Greenpeace rescue voyage.. MUCH more effective.

      Check out the February issue of Men's Journal (with Shaun White on the cover). There is an amazing article about her (and the other celebrities, activists, and reporters) that tried in vain to save the dolphins and whales from the slaughter.

      Sure, there are plenty of other causes she could help, but once you read the article you just may understand why someone, celebrity or not, should help put a stop to the innocent slaughter of these animals. Good for her!
