Let Them Mourn In Peace

Heath Ledger's family will arrive in New York City on Friday from Australia.
Out of respect for their privacy, we won't name the funeral home the service will take place in. It'd be nice if the media left his family alone on that day, but we don't think that will happen.
Ledger's ex, Michelle Williams, and daughter, Matilda, arrived at their Brooklyn home on Wednesday. They were greeted by hordes of paparazzi. So wrong.
We didn't use those pics. Nor did we use the pics of Ledger's body being taken out of his apartment.
And we won't use pics from outside the funeral parlor.
Hopefully others will follow suit.

i dont want you to post the pics here, or name the funeral home. but stop being a hypocrite…
it's about time that people stop speculating and dragging this poor guy's name through the mud.
i have to agree with perez, his family should be left to mourn in peace. and the media, should respect that and stay away from the funeral.

Someone should get a list of the advertisers on John Gibson's show so that we can all send them emails and phone calls that we will not be buying their products if they advertise on Gibson's show. I want to commend you for not showing any of those pictures. The media has become way to invasive. There really is no benefit to seeing pictures of people looking sad, we all know what grief looks and feels like. It's bad enough when someone close to you dies and you grieve in private; I cannot imagine what it must feel like to have people pushing cameras in your face and taking pictures of your most intimate pain for the world to see.
way to draw the line. that is great. i just walked by the funeral home in ny today on my way to appt and there are dozens of dirtbag paps. i love 'goss' as much as the next, but this situation if far from it and people need to draw the line at grief and devastation. its just plain wrong. i am hoping some new laws will be passed regarding invasion of person privacy.
