John Mayer is such a douche. Before I realised what he was like, I nonsensically attended a gig of his in Dublin, Ireland a few years back. He spent the whole time talking about himself, asking the audience stuff like 'so, do you think I should pose for teen magazines?' etc - any opportunity to talk about himself. Very unlikeable guy…further backed up by dating douchequeen Jessica Simpson. Obviously he doesn't need much intellectual stimulation.

Instead, he only comes across as being desperate for approval and admiration right now. I'll bet he quotes Sartre to turn on women every time he has ED!

He can no longer claim to be any of the things he has always tried to convey. You cannot date the people he dated, go out to the restaurants and bars that he has, courting the papps, and generally act like a conceited moron and then claim your "sensitive", "soulful" music is a reflection of who you really are. "Return to nature" suggests becoming one with the earth.. perhaps decomposing in the ground, or energy being released back into the world or reincarnation. He could mean he wants to take a break from the technology obsessed world, wants people to stop following him/reporting what he does. Return to nature, where the problems of civilization don't exist… where he won't be judged or monitored… and can perhaps be inspired to create art.
