Daniel Day Lewis' speech moved me. I'm glad someone mentioned Heath Ledger at an awards show where you are supposed to honor your fellow actors. Daniel is a wonderful actor because he has empathy and I truly admire him and his work.

I am glad they took the time to really honor the Sopranos. All weekend in the newspapers it said they were scrambling to do a fitting tribute to heath… uhhhh… they showed his Brokeback Mountain still shot ya know the promo shot of him leaning back in the hat without music and just put his name up at the end of the montage of all the other people that got to age and die. I dont really care that they didnt take time to really honor/mention him but I had no interest but to see how his fellow actors would show a respectful way to thank him for HIS commitment to SAG and his work in such a short time. Yet in the end… nuttin. Totally false advertising. Ugh.

      49

I thought it was so tacky and disrespectful how they did the tribute. It looked like they just threw Heath Ledger in at the last minute. Now the screen went blank, and all a sudden they flashed his picture then it was over.

It just seemed rude. and disrespectful.

The funniest moment was when Mickey Rooney thank Ms. Latifah.. hahah.. it just sounds funny to hear Ms. Latifah, the actors got a kick out of it too. Also, Daniel Day Lewis' tribute to Heath Ledger was moving, but it was a repeat of Oprahs show. And, GO SOPRANOS!! They deserved it!! I can't believe it's been 10 years???!

    63. Amanda says – reply to this

      63

I wish that Michael C. Hall would have won best actor.

Re: season – Thanks!!! Im sure a lot of ppl agree!! ;) I want to give a shout out to Charles Durning too LIZ! That was the most moving of all of the awards! I have enjoyed his performances on Rescue Me! and its even better that he has been so Patriotic and has made this country who we are today. He was the only one of his platoon that survived!! And i loved how Tom Hanks had previously awarded him. and Yes Tom Cruise seemed a little bit pissy at the end?? Maybe it was that hackers END TO SCIENTOLOGY video that Perez had on a couple days ago. and finally. GO HILLARY@!!!!

angelina is a dumb bitch. you know she was SO SURE she would win. i am sick and tired of her prancing her skinny tramp stamped ass around acting like she is better than everybody else, adopting all those damn kids and thinking she is saving the world.. FUCK HER. AND BRAD PITT, TOO. acting like they are this hollywood power couple, when actually they are both homewreckers and drug addicts. we all know angie mainlines H. get a fucking clue, bitch, you won't get the oscar, and y'all will be getting a divorce soon. we already know y'all are having problems.

      later, bitch!

      85

i agree, angelina definately looks pregnant…hope she's able to "connect" with her bio babies this time…poor shiloh…anyway, am i the only one who thought the women looked very beautiful and natural for once?! very few horrible fake tans and a lot of natural looking make-up…not to mention absolutely gorgeous dresses…and the men looked pretty good, too, way to go guys;) but it's nice to see hollywood looking a tiny bit more natural than in the recent past:) my only complaint is that america ferrera is starting to look really thin…i really hate it when beautiful women make it in hollywood and all of a sudden become emaciated robots with all their dieting and botox and who knows what else…and the saddest part is, she was never even close to being fat, compared to the average woman she was already thin, only hollywood would be insane enough to catagorize her as a "bigger" actress…sigh…

I'm so proud and happy Daniel Day-Lewis won. I think his speech was beyond beautiful and spiritual, but really touching and I knew he would mention Heath Ledger if he won, I love him and i hope he does many more movies. I think it was well deserved and i love hearing him talk especially when it's to honor someone his own award in memoriam, so caring.

      94

i saw just a bit of it because i had'nt even realized that it was on and i could'nt believe that Queen Latifah beat out the likes of Vanessa Redgrave, Gena Rowlands, Kate Blanchett and Anna Paquin????? the look on Anna Paquins face was priceless. Vanessa and Kate looked stunned but hid it well. there's was just no mistaking that they were blown away and with damn good reason. i don't even know what the movies were but i know that it's a sad day when Qeeun Latifah wins over this caliber of actresses. ridiculous!!!!!
