The new live action feature film based on popular '80s cartoon G.I. Joe is a go!
And Channing Tatum has just been cast as Duke.

Tatum will join Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the cast when the film starts shooting next month in Los Angeles.

noo! why can't they leave the classics alone? Ok, so it worked for Transformers (but with an obscene budget), and the first Ninja Turtles movie (2nd was meh, 3rd….most will not even speak of. I'm probably in danger from mentioning it now. _>), but they should just leave the cartoons in nostalgia. What's next, live action care bears or My little pony? If they're gonna do any cartoon from the 80's into live action, they should take one of the underdog ones that were awesome, yet got little to no television play…like Inhumanoids! Now that i'd want to go see. But I guess as long as Uwe Boll stays away from it, it won't immediately be turned to shit, a talent he has when making video game movies (bloodrayne, house of the dead, and unfortunately he bought the rights to make the Castlevania movie….*cries* ;_;).
