Leona To Give America A Little Something Extra!

We have a release date!

One of the biggest selling artists of 2007 in the U.K., Leona Lewis, is set to release her debut album, Spirit, in America on April 8th.

The singer is currently busy in the studio, PerezHilton.com has learned, recording two brand new songs for the U.S. release of - Forgive Me by singer/producer Akon and Misses Glass from the cutting edge producer/writers Madd Scientist and Rock City.

Additionally, the X Factor champ has re-recorded the video for her smash single, Bleeding Love.

Shot by acclaimed video director Jessy Terrero, the new U.S. video will premiere in early February.

Leona's Bleeding Love is now available for sale on iTunes.

Miz Lewis is up for four Brit Awards next month, the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys, and Perez will be in London for the big show. Can't wait to see her and be back in our favoritest city in the world!!!

    Much and all as I love Bleeding Love, I've listened to Spirit on my store's stereo for a while now and every track sounds like it's ripped off something else. As in, it'd all be great except that the 90s happened already and we still remember the tracks. She's got a great voice and is a sweetheart but it's an unimpressive debut. I look forward to what she does next with a little experience
