      Its sad but some of the best music has been preformed by herion addicts;
      Rolling Stones (Keith Richards)
      James Brown,
      Ray Charles,
      Janis Joplin,
      The Doors (Jim Morrison)
      Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page),
      Eric Clapton,
      Aerosmith (Joe Perry),
      Gun and Roses (Slash),
      Nirvana (Kurt Cobain),

It's funny that they listed International Players Anthem as an Outkast song, the song was made by UGK and featured Outkast, there's even a version of the song on the album without Outkast. What a way to disgrace the late Pimp C, who was the reason the song even came into being!

      Re: Maya

LCD is Swedish? Last time I checked, NYC was in the US, making James Murphy an American and not a Swede.

Yo- you better check #8.. cuz it's UGK not OUtkast on the trizack. Outkast is featured but you will find the song on UGK"s newest album… which is slayin' em. RIP Pimp C!

They need to go back and check their sources. "International Players Anthem" is a song by UGK. It features OutKast, but it's not their song. UGK deserves all the credit

      RIP Pimp C

Not my personal pics for 2007's best, but it is a great list. Pazz & Jop is always good at choosing an eclectic group of artists.

"International Players Anthem" is by UGK. UGK. Not Outkast. They just guest on the track.

      UGK. Show some respect.

      RIP Pimp C

The Village Voice has officially lost what ever little bit of credibility they had as music reviewers. With the exception of Feist and Kanye's songs, the rest of the songs on that list are straight ass.

"Umberella" only made it in as its the most insidious song ever created. Its dire but gets al over you like a bad STD.
Its great to see LCD Soundsystem there. Sound of Silver was the beast album of last year and they do the best live shows going too. I would highly recommend it.
