she might be a douche.. but he ticket sales were phnominal here (in Canada), and she is still massivly appealing to all people, young and old.. whether you like her, or you don't, she's still going to make millions of dollars off of canadians b/c she's about the next best thing to come out of canada aside from Celine Dion and Shania Twain… which really isn't saying much about what this country can produce.. but whatev..

I think that most people here in Canada just don't care. There are tons of girls here in Toronto that try to act all hardcore just so they can F*ck a guitar player. The only difference in a record deal.

It's a fact that celebrities are bothered by the negative things they read about themselves. They are still human after all. More important though, is the fact of their gigantic egos which almost never have to hear the truth. What with all the yes-men and 11 year old mentally incompetent worshippers they have all telling them positive things.
Celebrities often do not even read the gossip or reviews about them, so that they won't hear the bad stuff.
This must be hard for Avril to do, as 98% of the world hate her.
So I guess that's why she chooses to spend so much time in Cuckoo Land.
