Her voice reminds me of Stevie Nicks in many ways, more so than Ronnie, and nothing like Norah Jones. If the music was more pronounced and slowed down at points, it could somewhat like the older songs
I liked the song, don't get me wrong, it's just not as good as stated. This girl has great potential and I could see her going far. Also, all the fag and queer crap is really annoying. I think these people need to go back to kindergarten, and then start all over. Fucking Juvies.

I've been a huge fan of Nicole ever since I saw her a year ago - she keeps on getting better and better live and she definitely has "it" now. Soooo glad to see that she's finally getting the attention she deserves - I think she'll break out in '08. Great job Perez!

This artist is awesome. She's beautiful, and if you ever get the opportunity to see her and the Sea play live you will absolutely fall in love. Oh, and about the production, Rick Rubin gave her album the final touches. One of my top ten albums of 2007.

I've seen Nicole in NY. She's amazing- she's one of the few people around who can actually write real songs today. The rest of her record is fantastic- check out "the way it is" or "brooklyn's on fire"

Perez youre way the fuck behind. This girls been about kicking it now for atleast a good 4 months. She is KILLER. And your description lacks truth. She beyond Spektor vocally. She rings closure to the Wainwrights and is all the beautiful eeriness of a Tim Burton film. My newest love Ms Atkins and the Sea.
Finally you put some good music up here. I saw her at her sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC on Friday night. It was nothing short of amazing. For all you people saying she can't sing, well I don't know, you must be deaf. I had chills during her performance. She is one of the best vocalists out there today. Her voice is so ridiculously powerful and beautiful. It was a wonderful show on Friday and there was this insane energy — it really felt like Nicole was on the brink of something big and I think everyone else there felt it too. I cannot recommend this CD or this artist more.
Nicole Atkins is without doubt one of the most talented forces in music. I have been fortunate enough to see her play live many times, and each time I am blown away, The intensity of her voice, the rawness of her emotions and her first class showmanship make her unique and very rare in a world of digital pop music. Congratulations Nicole!
