We love M.J. and Posh, but….

Last time we went to one of the Marc Jacobs stores to try and buy the Selma Blair edition of this shirt, they didn't come in an XL!!!!!!

What are us big girls to do????

Sizes in shops are ridiculous. Im from the uk and I buy between the 14-18 size range. My body doesn't magically shrink and expand….but the sizes do! And in certain stores, over a size 14 doesn't exist. When the AVERAGE size of a woman in the UK is quoted to be between 14-16, this seems a little odd, no?

In reply to all the fat bitch comments, I'm 5ft 11. I have a bone structure thats in line with my height, therefore I can't fit my BONES into size 10/12 (UK size) clothes. People come in all shapes and sizes, some too big some too skinny, some just oddly shaped, some perfectly normal, etc. Therefore, wouldn't it make sense to have a sizing system that reflects that?

Have to say that a tanned person speaking out about skin cancer is really sad. I was a tanner in my teens and 20's - baked in sun in summer months and tanned in booths during winter months. Now I'm in my 30's and 6 months ago was diagnosed with melanoma. I'm not "fair" either - my skin is olive toned.

I look at these tanning facilities still in operation and wonder why the FDA hasn't outlawed them? I think that young people don't think it could happen to them. I thought it couldn't happen to me. Melanoma can kill you and it is a horrible death; it can be quick if you don't check yourself often.

Can Marc Jacobs find a spokesperson who is comfortable being white to represent his campaign? Maybe Marcia Cross or Nicole Kidman? Britney Spears is not tanning that much lately …

But truth is sizes have magically grown in the last 10 years. 10 years ago, I was a size 4-6. So stores carry far more larger sizes than they used to. Just the labels say different things.

While I am pleased that Ms Beckham has finally decided to use her notoriety for something other than self-promotion, I am a little confused as to the cause she has chosen. Victoria never steps out of the house without being uber-tan, be it fake tan or real (my guess is fake but she doesn't tell us that). So girls that may look up to her as a style icon will therefore think that being brown and tan is the way to look good…and how do we get brown? By sunbathing too much. Which can lead to skin cancer.
