And South by Southwest is awesome…I helped my Aunt pass out fliers and shit and got in free w/a few beers and joint to boot….TEXAS ROCKS!! Btw…never got a DUI…but, learned a lesson. GO SPURS GO!!!

I've been going to SXSW for 10 years and sadly, it's just not what it used to be. It has turned into a "scene," much like Sundance and any other festival showcasing artists that has been invaded by people with no real interest in anything but being seen there because it's the "cool place to be." The Hollywood crowd and folks who want to look like rock stars or trashy groupies have ruined it.

Perez - do your best to get into the Free(ak) show at March 6 at Stubbs. Legendary venue for Austin. Kid Beyond, The Yard Dogs Roadshow, Johnny Hootrock, and several others will be playing. If you don't know Kid Beyond, you need to go.
Sad to be out of town since the buzz is starting to build on the VIP shows but I hope you will be blogging extensively!
