And South by Southwest is awesome…I helped my Aunt pass out fliers and shit and got in free w/a few beers and joint to boot….TEXAS ROCKS!! Btw…never got a DUI…but, learned a lesson. GO SPURS GO!!!

I've been going to SXSW for 10 years and sadly, it's just not what it used to be. It has turned into a "scene," much like Sundance and any other festival showcasing artists that has been invaded by people with no real interest in anything but being seen there because it's the "cool place to be." The Hollywood crowd and folks who want to look like rock stars or trashy groupies have ruined it.

This makes me laugh. SXSW seems to be going the way of Sundance and it's pretty sad. Let's get serious here, Perez: what business does a gossip blogger have at SXSW? I know you fancy yourself a bit of a trend setter and arbiter of good music, but when have you ever actually "broken" a band or artist on here that wasn't already well-established in circles that actually matter?
