Scientology Under Attack!

Somebody is trying to spook the kooks!
Mysterious envelopes containing apparently harmless powder were sent to Church of Scientology locations in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas on Wednesday, prompting street closings and evacuations.
In total, 19 "church" locations were targeted, and authorities are trying to determine who sent them.
Glendale police shut down a street for two hours and Tustin authorities evacuated 60 people from buildings as hazardous materials teams were called in.
Initial tests indicated the powder was harmless.
We may not like Scientology, but don't be doing stupid shit like this! It affects us all.

Don't let them fool you Perez. Scientology's OSA (Office of Speical Affairs - google it) sent them to the "churches" themselves. This is to then point to all those people picketing on Feb 10th and call them "terrorist".

This is ridiculous. I am not a scientologist, but we live in a country where people have the freedom of religion. That's one of the reasons I am thankful I live in America instead of the Middle East - I don't want to have to wake up every morning in fear that someone is going to attack me.

Recently a group of buildings in California associated with the "Church" of Scientology claimed to have recieved envelopes in the mail that contained a "mysterious, white powdery substance". The powder was found to be harmless and no people exposed to it suffered any damage to their health. However, the implications behind such a report may cause people to believe that Anonymous is "responsible" for this attack on the Church.
Anonymous does not work like most organizations you have come across before, and therefore your common understanding of "responsibility" cannot logically be applied to us. Anonymous should not be thought of as a single entity, with a focus on a single path to a single goal - there is no hierarchy; there are no order-givers or order-takers. Rather, we work as individuals or as small groups, getting our ideas about what to do by communicating with each other.
However, be assured that the vast majority of us have not attempted to organize any actions which will cause physical or mental damage to any persons. This is indeed self-evident, if you will look past the distortions of the media - because out of the many (estimate: hundreds of) thousands of us participating in this project, the media has only managed to produce ONE report of such an action.
The church sent the letters to themselves. They've done things like this before and they'll do it again.
i wouldn't be surprised if they sent them to themselves just for the publicity……and to look like good in the public eye
