Winehouse Taken To The Hospital
This is actually good news!
Amy Winehouse was taken to the hospital this week.
The singer was suffering from dehydration and needed to be put on a drip to get fluids and essentials back in her system.
Wino's hospitalization was needed, her father says, because she had been vomiting a lot - one of the symptoms of withdrawal.
Withdrawal is good! It means Amy's not back on drugs, hopefully.
Mitch Winehouse said the star was moved to a hospital because her rehab facility did not have sufficient medical facilities.
"Everything is going according to plan and she's perfectly OK," Mr Winehouse told BBC radio station 1Xtra, adding that she was now back in the rehab clinic.
Nice to see Amy is sticking with her treatment!

All of you who are hating on her & judging her CLEARLY have never battled addiction or EDs. It's hell, she isn't doing what she's doing cause she likes it. If you've never been to rehab before, then you cannot understand it. Dehydration is NOT only caused from lack of fluids, so to the moron who said she's dehydrated cause she won't rink anything but liquor, your ridiculous & thankfully not a doctor.Self-induced vomiting (otherwise known as purging) as well as vomiting induced by withdrawal symptoms both cause dehydration, a massive drop in Potassium levels & can VERY quickly lead to assitily in the heart & then death. This is very serious, not joke-worthy. People die from withdrawal symptoms on a regular basis, especially withdrawal from heavy duty drugs like heroin & cocaine. Hell, if you take yourself off a high dosage of anti-depressant by yourself you can die from the withdrawal. It's a long, painstaking process. She's going through hell right now & while you don't have to support her, don't post asinine comments like "she's a tranny" or "slut" etc. Being an addict doesn't mean your a slut, thats some real excellent reasoning right there. I highly doubt that ANY of you have room to judge her.
Rebel in GA, ANYONE can go to rehab. There are treatment centers that are government paid for that you don't have to drop a dime for. They are most likely state run hospitals, but they do exist for people of all walks of life. However, they won't be like Promises of Beau Mode. There won't be any yoga, chefs or massages. It's hell, but it works. Money has nothing to do with treatment other than the fact that it determines how "luxurious" your center will be. And luxury is not conducive to sobriety or necessary for that matter.
