Just weeks after suffering a devastating miscarriage, Lily Allen, 22, has been dumped by her much elder boyfriend, Chemical Brothers Ed Simons.
The pair had only been dating since September.

"They tried to make things work but couldn’t," says a pal of Allen's. "The miscarriage was a horrible experience for both of them - and in recent weeks the mood between them had been really strained."
Adds the friend, "Lily is really upset things haven’t worked out for her and Ed. She had talked about settling down for good and having a family. But there is a big age difference and the heartbreak they had to cope with was too much too early in their relationship."
Just be careful now, Lilly. Don't drown your sorrows away in booze or drugs.

I've heard it's a fact losing a baby greatly affects both partners. The woman is the one who suffers worse from this, it is only logical as the woman physically loses the baby, the man does not.
It's unfortunate she wasn't with someone who would be steadfast and supportive through this situation.

It's no consolation to her now, but in the long run she's better off with out him. My heart hurts for her, I've had a miscarriage, you never really get over it, it just fades. I had mine 6 years ago, It still makes me sad and wonder what could have been I was 4 1/2 mo's along, the further you are the worse it is. But I was devastated the first year and for another year after it would hit me and I'd break down crying. My mom had one 20 years ago she was 5 months along, she's still sad when it's the time the baby would have been born. I hope lily has a lot of support

He stayed at the hospital with me the two days I had to be in the hospita,l 24/7 They had to do a D and C because I was that far along and since my baby had been alive the day before I kept asking are you sure he's dead, are you sure? (he was a boy) Then you have the sadness of looking at the baby cloths you had bought, the emptiness. Unless you've had life inside you , you can't understand what it is to have it die inside'you. But my husband was patient and loving and showed me he hurt too. The one thing I did get out of that was my husband truly loved me and would stick no matter what. I know what she's going through and I hurt for her.
