She IS a trainwreck! A friend of mine was married to a friend of John's and has been around Cindy on several occasions. My friend said that everyone in their circle knew that Cindy would abuse illegal substances, including cocaine.
Full disclosure: I'm a Mitt Romney supporter so obviously I disagree strongly with McCain on a variety of issues. HOWEVER, McCain is war hero, and a man deserving of a great amount of respect. I can't see how any personal problems his wife has dealt with in the past is relevant to his presidential campaign. But then again…does anyone really expect Perez to be respectful or fair to people he disagrees with?

She doesn't exactly seem like a train wreck. She had an addiction to prescription pills, but she eventually got caught and treatment for the addiction (which I commend her for, because lets face it, not many people get clean and stay clean). Unfortunately a lot of families in this country have someone who has struggled with addiction, and for me, this makes the McCain family seem more human to me. It shows how strong they are because they stuck together and worked through a rough situation that causes many families to fall apart. I am by no means a Republican, but if we have to be stuck with another Republican president, I would rather it be McCain then any of those other extremists! Romney and Huckabee scare the shit out of me!

Cindy is 54 or so years old and looks like a china doll. She's beautiful. As an RN, I can tell you that many "good" people get hooked on pain killers - take a look at Liz Taylor, you don't diss her! It's just as difficult to get off them (after a few days of ingesting them) for some people as it is to get off heroin or coke. She also needs to go on television and apologize to all the charities she stole drugs from, and promise that she will never again do drugs, including crystal meth and crack.
