R.I.P. (Finally)

The body of Heath Ledger was cremated in Australia on Saturday and his remains were laid to rest.

Michelle Williams read Shakespeare at the service and some of Ledger's favorite songs were played, including the Beatles' Here Comes the Sun.

After the service, mourners gathered at a beachside restaurant and many, including Williams, went fully clothed into the ocean as they watched the sunset.

Hopefully the media will stop obsessing about digging up dirt about you and you can have some dignity left… I hope your daughter knows that you were overall a good man and a good actor. It's unfortunate that years from now she'll be able to go online and find all this horrible stuff about her dad, all these negative comments, all this hate, all this dirt and media coverage. I feel bad for her in advance. For now she's sheltered in childlike innocence.

    This was a very visual post and thinking about it makes me want to cry. I first fell in love with Heath when I saw him in The Patriot. He had such a future ahead of him…that this ending makes me sad and really breaks my heart. Why Heath and not someone else like Britney, OJ or Heidi Montague who are all a complete waste of space.

    His body is gone but his soul lives on and I know that he is watchng over his beautiful Matilda. RIP in peace good soul. You will truely be missed. And how wonderfull that your child will be able to see what a true talent you were with all the work you left behind. I am so glad that she will one day be able to see your smile, hear your laughter and see your mannerisms through your films. How a person whom I had never met could effect me so much with his passing says alot.
