R.I.P. (Finally)

The body of Heath Ledger was cremated in Australia on Saturday and his remains were laid to rest.

Michelle Williams read Shakespeare at the service and some of Ledger's favorite songs were played, including the Beatles' Here Comes the Sun.

After the service, mourners gathered at a beachside restaurant and many, including Williams, went fully clothed into the ocean as they watched the sunset.

Re: barnes – If he cared at all about his daughter he wouldn't have led the life he did. He had every reason to live and he chose to take a destructive path. Hopefully his daughter's mother will find a stable and caring father for the child who will be there and care enough to take care of himself and his family. The last thing a child needs is a drug-addicted, self-centered parent.

That is a beautiful way to say goodbye. I hope his family will finally be left alone to mourn. All the media coverage has been crazy. It would be nice if they did not try to dirt on a talented actor. Perez you were very respectful to Heath's family and payed your respects. Let health rest in peace

this is pretty much one of the most beautiful things to come out of this tragedy. wading out into the ocean to watch the sunset is truly beautiful.

ps. i'm just really starting to get depressed about heath's passing. like it's now fully hit me.

I, like many others, did not personally know Heath. Although through his movies you can get a good idea of how great a guy he was. Many ppl lay to rest everyday but, for some reason the death of Heath has really bothered my family and I. I feel his life was not completed yet. He was such a handsome and down to earth kinda guy. I do hope his salvation was right with Jesus. I pray that Michelle and Matilda are able to get strength through this tragic time. We do not always know God's BIG PLAN, but everything happens for a reason. Easier said though, I know. God be with you.

There's no earthly way of knowing. What was in your heart?! When it stopped going. The whole world shook. A storm was blowing through you. Waiting for God to stop this. And up to your neck in darkness. Everything around you was corrupted. Saying something. There's no dignity in death. To sell the world your last breath. We're still fighting over. Everything you left over. I saw you staying at the gates. When Marlon Brando passed away. You had that look upon your face. Advertising space. No one learned from your mistakes. We let our profits go to waste. All that's left in any case is advertising space. Through your eyes the world was burning. Please be gentle. I'm still learning. You seemed to say as you kept turning up. They poisoned you with compromise. At what point did you realize. Everybody loves your life but you. A special agent for the man. Through Watergate and Vietnam. No one really gave a damn. Did you think the CIA did? I've seen your daughter. Man, she is cute. I was scared but I wanted to. Boy, she looks a lot like you!
      R.I.P. HEAT!!! WE LOVE YOU!

It took me a while to work out why the whole world was affected by Heath's
death, but finally a light bulb came on in my head.

Heath was one of the special people. They don't look any different to anyone
else (though, for some reason, they are invariably good-looking) and they
walk and talk just like the rest of us, but when you are in their company, or even when you see them on a news broadcast or, in Heath's case, on the screen, you think" Perhaps things aren't so bad after all. Perhaps the universe
really is unfolding the way it should, despite overwhelming evidence to the
contrary". They are assuaging to the soul. There aren't may of them and they
often die young. We were privileged to have him on the earth.

While I am posting I will also say that his name lexigrams to 'great heart' and
      'rage at death'.
