I think the whole industry has a lot to answer for because they are glamourizing all these girls for bad behavior. Giving all the attention and glamouriszing girls like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, nicole Richie and Amy Winehouse. Making it seem cool to be a trainwreck and all these girls are such messes! If they are the only representation we have in society of girls in their 20s then what does that say about the state we're in? IT sends a very bad message.

Addiction is a disease, and for her to say that is like saying that a diabetic shouldn't win any awards until they get over their illness. Our society should try to understand that addiction is not choosing bad behavior and the road to recovery is extremely difficult. She should be praised for staying in rehab and working on getting better instead of some irrelevant blowhard bitching at her. Winehouse is talented and put out a great record that she wrote and sang. She deserved every award she got.

shut your fucking mouth. anyone will tell you that amy's got pipes (not like crack pipes…like vocal chords) she is winning IN SPITE of her addictions and is in a long hard battle against them…AND THAT I DO ADMIRE HER FOR. I am a fourteen year old kid and i can honestly say that Amy Winehouse is a true role model. She has an AMAZING talent that she knows she has, and her addictions don't have anything to do with it. Amy is in an outpatient program now. That is a hugh step. She needs continuing care and meetings. She may perform w/Mark Ronson at the Brit Awards on Feb. 20. One day at a time Amy.
Wow- lots of opinions on this one. Natalie Cole is entitled to her opinion, as is everyone else on the site. Personally, I think that the Grammy awards should be based on the music/song, not the personality of the individual. I dare say that there must be at least a handful of musicians who have been awarded a Grammy or two that have been substance abusers. Amy's addiction just happens to be widely publicized.
