Roy Scheider, perhaps best remembered for his role as the police chief in 1975's Jaws, has passed away.

The actor died Sunday at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Scheider had been treated for multiple myeloma at the hospital's Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy for the past two years and had battled with blood cancer for the past three years.

He was 75.

RIP, Roy! You will be missed!
Still, couldn't resist commenting the Kayne post. Every time he opens his mouth, he makes a bigger fool of himself. IMHO, his Grammy performance only cofirms what a talentless, and narcissistic hack he is especially when compared to other true, musical artists. Kayne needs to STFU and learn some humility!!!

      Re: starnezz
Can I just ask you a quick medical question?
Is there any further info on if myeloma is/can be genetically passed down to children?
I only ask as my ma passed away with it just over a year ago and my great gran dies from it six months prior with the same thing so I'm a tiny bit curious.
You can contact me at n.jayne.jackson@gmail.com to discuss further.
      Thanks in advance.

I sure loved watching Roy in Jaws. I was in Hawaii when it first came out and needless to say, I did not go back in the ocean after that! And over the last 30? years have watched that show over and over again. It is one of my favorites and is right up there with Silence of the Lambs. I always thought Roy was kind of hot!
